Hey jualmad21, thanks for the question - our blog on the LS0815FL should answer any questions you have... Check it out here: www.its.co.uk/blog/tomorrows-tools/makita-ls0815fl-216mm-mitre-saw/
ITS thanks for the link. I've trying to get some info to compare these two saws beyond their specifications. Do you think the 8.5 inch saw with only two rails will give the same rate of accuracy? Or is this new model more to fill a gap of capacity? Their capacities are pretty much similar but the fact that it only has 2 slides instead of four makes me wonder if this is only to fill a market gap instead of improving the predecessor.
Eu comprei uma modelo Serra Meia Esquadria 8.1/2 1.400w Ls0815fl Makita 220v Ela corta meio fora do esquadro já fiz farios ajustes mais não dei certo veio de fabrica
i dont like how its a 8.5 inch blade while taking up soo much space in the back with the slider rods. why not just go 10/12 since youre already taking up so much real estate in the back.
what a disappointing video. Granted you talked about the product but show no usage. I tell you, If i were buying this mitre saw, Your video would have surly turned me away. Sorry for being a little brutal, but come on guys wheres the demo of the saw actually going to work on a plank ?
Hi PimpYouriPhone5 Thanks for your feedback, its a fair comment - I'll try to get some more shots of the products being used in the future. I can totally see why you feel that its lacking.

@@jualmad21 Improvement of previous models isn't the only reason for development.
Can I fit a 210mm blade to this?
It may be possible with a reducing ring, but this is designed for 216mm blades. So we can't advise that you'd be able to use 210mm blades. - Dan

I think its about having a wide range and keeping the unit as small as possible. Thats why they now have a 190mm, a 216, and 260 and 310
yeah, its old skool setup. the world has moved on since then.
will it cut dadoes
