God bless YOU! I am actually committed to improving a lot of things in 2021, and one of them is my own approach to my marriage. I want her to feel like she won the husband lottery. Or something. I have a lot of work to do! Hahahaha!
They are both great Bibles! The 4 gsm difference doesn’t seem like much to some, but it definitely affects portability. I’ve heard both views on opacity. Any way you cut it, the Allan Reader is fantastic. I was just reading out of a green 36 gsm last night. I hope you love your new Bible. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@codpieceofjustice4595 Same! But that's the only time I can remember the color cyan being something people actually talk about. I need to broaden my color vocabulary.
It's petrol blue because petrol used to be pale blue green. Hence the ribbons especially are petrol blue, and cover, colour. It is a throwback to the 50's and a decade or so after it and before it. Petrol is not that colour nay more but I have an Allen's petrol blue 62 LOngprimer KJV and reviewed it on my channel. Thanks for showing us yours. I understand about keeping the new bibles to yourself!
That looks like a full yapp... Beautiful Bible, I think the Silver Line looks better than the First Edition. I'm one of those who would prefer that yellow Highland goatskin though. I really hope Allan make more of them...
I agree about the Silverline. In fact I sold my other Petrols. I like the yellow because it is so unique, but the thrill is wearing off. I'm glad I was finally able to get one, though!
The Silverline is a bible I'd like to get just gotta sale off some of the review collection that just sit in the box . I love my older navy LPUT cause of the thickness , I know the new one is a "better product" . The thin text block is so much more comfortable for me to use and fits the name Ultra Thin . Still that new edition is one of the finest bibles ive seen for the LPUT "NAS-B". Allans will always be my fave. ...I'm just not financially able to support my sickness 😂
The struggle is real! Yeah, I think better product is subjective to a point. You're right about the thickness and weight, of course. But those corners. I like the heft of the new one, but "Ultrathin" is a stretch!
Recently Charfleet has been quite generous with the ribbons. Some of the older Allans have ribbons that are rather short. Sometimes I feel like ribbons (and maybe yapp) are kind of like Bible fashion. Longer ribbons and more yapp are en vogue at the moment. And I'm glad!
It remains. It's very difficult for me to sell right now since the Japanese post office still refuses to ship parcels to quite a number of countries, including the US. Then again, I haven't really thought about selling it, especially since they didn't offer one this round.
@@LeaningTowerOfBible I like your review on the Red NASB bec I also own the same bible. It's a great bible but I don't think I want to splurge on another Allan NASB of another color. I hope Allan would produce a Jongblod SCR edition. I don't mind splurging on such a Bible
Thanks for the paper tip, bro. It was worth watching to the end. 😁
You're right about those translators' notes.
Whatever I said, I'm glad you agree! ; )
Your honesty of buying without your wife knowing, that is so me with husband; that is hilarious. Thanks for creating this video! God bless you!

Glad you did this it helps on a buying decision which came down to this!
I hope you will comment here again after you get it and let us know how it worked out for you!
I'm going with the 32 gsm. Thanks for this review it helped greatly!

I’m having problems with paper curl with my Allan nasb silver line. Anyone else experience this?
Nice Ribbons
Yes! But what color are they?
@@LeaningTowerOfBible
Well I automatically thought cyan.
@@codpieceofjustice4595 Are you a Pokémon fan? 😆
@@LeaningTowerOfBible
No, too old for that. It was big when I was in my 20s.

I waited so long and was so disappointed they chose to not do a full yap.

Nice bible! The ribbons look a little shorter than the typical Allan (the ones on my ESV reader are like 5 inches past the text block).

@@LeaningTowerOfBible I am jealous that you live in Japan!
@@PilgrimMinistry Yeah, I've been feeling pretty thankful to be here, especially lately.
Are certain colors more rare than others? Like the purple or blue color?
Yes. Some colors get more limited print runs. It depends on each edition. Supposedly there were only 100 each of Petrol Blue and Yellow this time.
at last somebody has told me how to use the ribbions thanks
Glad you got something out of it! Thanks for watching!
@@LeaningTowerOfBible well i think your vidios are not long and i trust wot you say

Yeah. Making tents! ; )
Yass!
"I don't have a lot of time to do this video..." ... because my wife's on her way home..
Ha!! Less because of the Bibles than because of noise and shared space, but maybe a little bit because of the Bibles, too. 😉 Thanks for watching!
There are 3 yellow ones on eBay...I'll buy your Petrol Blue one...
There may well come a time when I sell of a bunch of Bibles. Right now it sounds like too much work. Thanks, though!
