This has become my favorite vampire film EVER! My first viewing I left happy but confused. After a second viewing I was completely blown away!!!! I’m planning to watch a third time in theaters and of course I will buy a hard copy once released on Blu-ray!!!
I feel like I am in the minority on this movie. I was underwhelmed by it. It is the blandest of the three Nosferatu movies in every way. That said, Willem Dafoe stole the show. Also, I appreciate that Eggers wanted to tip his hat to Possession, but Adjani's performance in that film would be hard for any actress to match in intensity. My favorite version of Nosferatu is Herzog's. It is one of my favorite films of all time. That said, I am glad that everyone else is enjoying it. If it does well in theaters, I hope we get more gothic horror movies in the future.
I think a lot of people feel like you though because this was a very hyped movie. it is not a movie for everyone due to the really slow pacing, being more of a possession story, the look that Count Orlok has etc So I think it is very valid that you feel underwehlmed specially if you like Herzog's Nosferatu so much.
@@horror-sickness - It was definitely my most anticipated movie of the year. I am glad that a lot of critics and audience members are loving it though.
@@nevskislake oh no, so sorry. I know how much it hurts when a movie you really were looking forward to, simply does not deliver. Let's hope for a good 2025

I need to go and watch it a second time because I am sure I will have a different perspective the second time around.
I have a fondness for Innocent Blood (1992), and also The Lost Boys.
