I agree with Drift0r fore grip is such a waste and infact for some guns it makes the recoil pattern worse e.g. scorpion and if it does increase centre speed by 2 you may as well use acog instead They need to buff it to AT least 8-10%
btw just run 6 perks and a primary pickup someone elses gun with 3 attachments for your secondary then you got a class with 16 slots

I just discovered that if you put the grip in the msmc you will notice the change of recoil seriously.
Ikr i try to do an overkill class of the Ballista and MSMC and I don't use grip on it so I can put another perk😬
I find the msmc has the most horizontal recoil, and it's bad. The only gun i'll use the grip on

I think it's effective at deterring campers, but it promotes run-gunners. Since you have to constantly move for it to be effective, you have totally silent players running all over the map all the time.
why do people hate campers??? when i was in iraq i wouldnt go running out in the desert looking for the enemy, we let them come to us....

4g64spyder yes, in a realistic sense than camping is indeed the best way to go, but when in a virtual space such as CoD, campers are looked down upon due to the lack of skill needed to camp/do well while camping. (Also in Cod you have unlimited lives, so you don't need to camp).

I agree. Some gametypes it's needed. Ctf you have a couple camp and watch flag, have a couple mid point to defend who ever captures flag and a couple go for flag.
MW ghost is way better.
I think it's good that grip didn't work, because it meant that there wasn't 1 attachment that everyone used. All anyone uses on Ghosts is Grip and Muzzle Break.

The tests done on Hardhat in MW3 with the two lmgs should have been done with your back to the wall to ensure that distance did not effect bullet spread.

To sum up what I think was said to him: with a grip, the gun returns to its center point quicker than normal. It does not reduce the kick itself. Which means that you could shoot the NEXT target more accurately if you let go of the trigger for a split second rather than sprayed into it.

I don't understand how people can play with a sight on their gun. I'd never put any optical sight. I love using ironsights, I'd recommend suppressor and stock for the m27

As such, sights can be used to place better contrast against enemies, facilitating target acquisition. Furthermore, some sights can obstruct a great portion of peripheral view, such as that of the Mk 48 in Black Ops 2, and the MTAR-X in Ghosts. I think I agree with you with this. It is like you easily drag or pull or stick more your crosshair to moving target while you shooting. I remember if I don't use foregrip the gun kick is more and it is difficult pull the crosshair to the moving target.

Neither Call of Duty nor Battlefield can be classified as realistic games. You can do some of the dumbest shit in both CoD ( quickscoping, head-glitching, YY, 360,720 or whatever degree no-scoping, etc.etc.) and Battlefield ( c4 on a car= car bomb, suicide jet bombing, unlimited parachutes, using blowtorch on vehicle magically repairs entire vehicle, etc. etc. ) Sure video games can seem realistic, but there will always be glitches, bugs, and other weird querks that keep it far from real.
Hey man I just wanted to say thanks for the videos especially the one where you were talking about just using the pistol I run around 7 or eight games just using the pistol and wasn't doing half bad with it and then went back to the assault rifle and it made it a lot easier getting my aim back it really helped thanks a lot

Yes, that specific weapon doesn't exist, but similar models, that they most likely based the weapon off of, do. And, the clip is on the top
speaking about how making things more accurate could make them more powerful, think about the acr in mw2, it had some of the worst damage per shot, but because it was so accurate, everyone used and loved it, although not quite over powered, as everything in game was
I've been using the fore-grip because I visually notice that my movements while aimed in are smoother (try it out on the skorpion). However, after my enlightenment from Drift0r's aiming video, I've switched to using the laser sight thus impacting my ktd. :)
If you use rapidfire+grip on skorpion or chicom or any smg, there is a pretty noticeable difference.
I can feel a noticeable difference using the grip with certain guns. HAMR with adjustable scope+grip+silencer is almost necessary. But if you change grip for rapid fire and just do quick little bursts you can cut people down crazy fast.
man am I fucking glad I found this video! Almost all my primary weapons right now have grip attached. And I had to replace perk slots and lethal slots just to add more attachments, but now I know I should've never have used grip at all! It's just taking up slots, thanks for the info it helps alot!
I think that the grip is used more for long range engagements with SMGs or higher recoil assault rifles, with those the recoil reduction is noticeable. But I agree that on most guns it is not needed and may not be worth the class point based on the map and gun. Great video btw

PDW w/ grip feels so much better than w/out grip. The recoil is much better for me w/ grip.
FORE GRIP attachment is more effective in guns which had higher firerate like the skorpio, mp7 stuff like that try shooting in a distance continuously without the fore grip you will see that your gun is actually fire up and up when you point it in your target. but if you have the fore grip attachment when shooting in distance continously you wil see that it controls the firerate of your downwards
I think if you grab Scorpion EVO Rapid fire + grip and go into a match and test it out, then take off grip, there will be a hugely noticeable difference.

a lot of the things he listed there that "it does not do" was for the quickdraw handle. the fore grip isn't supposed to do a lot of that stuff anyhow. what it does do is it drastically increases accuracy, and reduces a lot of recoild while ADS
I saw a video of a forgrip falling off and the recoil sends a bullet through the persons hand, the gun went down and the forgrip hand went up
i love using the LSAT LMG with a stock, foregrip and ergonomic handle. Its like having a big assault rifle with the benefit of extra calibre and fire rate.

quickdraw makes the transition from hip to down the sights faster like a pistol. it works well on light machine guns with stock an ACOG
i used the FAL with the foregrip, silencer and the ACOG, and to be honest it was probably better than any sniper or assault rifle for me, pretty precise and powerful aswell.

He has a video on quickdraw. It's basically a uniform effect. 150 milliseconds cut off your ADS, I believe. Something around there.
This was interesting to hear, and it is a shame it is so weak. The acog having the same effect devalued it even more being that grip, imo, is better for range.
I used it, and I've noticed the effects in matches, but it is so small that I've literally only used it with lmgs, in which case I've noticed they have helped a lot, coupled with the acog.

As long as the experiment has been repeated successfully over many different variables then it is a true statement. The wiki will usually have someone confirm most of the tests but in most cases the wiki will warn you about the editing and whether or not is should be trusted information. Drift0r backs his claims up with numbers, tests, and video proof. If you were to stand at the ranges he stood at and had the same attachments or perks you would get the same results.
Its funny because I ran wall tests after I felt that fore grip was providing a placebo effect. My experience is that the accuracy improvements help more at longer ranges but you are right: points are better used elsewhere. If your weapon of choice kicks like a mule, stick to close range and flank lots.. Or fire in short bursts. Any hard numbers on quickdraw? I reckon the split second difference in aiming down sights is more beneficial in most situations.. But still a slight edge scenario.
Besides for the LMG's, The Foregrip attachments performance is BARELY noticeable on pretty much any other gun. I would even go as far to say as it can even make a guns performance even worse since the bullet spread can be so random. In reference to Drit0r, in which he also mentions the ACOG reducing center speed by 2%, I paired the ACOG with The Foregrip attachement on the highest recoil assault rifle the Scar-H. Paired together you can see the difference easier. Very gun specific attachment

It is an editable wiki. Anyone can post anything on there. And the developers aren't the only people who know everything about this game.
I find that it helps more with medium to long range shooting, both tests were at pretty close range and it might be easier to see the effects at a longer range. Personally I use the grip often and I think it helps.
Nadeshot probably was just feeling the *placebo* effect probably because an 8% delta is REALLY hard to notice.
