Others like myself may desire something but don’t truly have the mind to obtain it. Floyd found out training himself better would make him better. Not many people can conquer their own mind.
I personally think that you can’t beat sparring or fighting to get fit. Put the rounds inside the ring as there’s no better way to get fit doing what you are training to do. Look at the old fighters who went for 15 rounds, or years ago when they were doing silly amounts of rounds per fight. I think the fighters don’t have enough fights these days tbh, being active keeps you fit and you don’t get ring rust. Look at the youngsters who fight maybe once a month or more in first yea, I know only 4 rounds, but I’m sure 4 fights a year would benefit them, and the camps wouldn’t have to be so hard and long. Maybe I’m wrong 🤨
