It's interesting to see that they're using the old style lattice type masts and gantries again for new overhead lines, just like those used on old 1500 volt DC lines of the 1950's.
Putting the curve back in at Olive Mt made so much sense. We were pushing for it for years when it was mad busy with coal trains for Fiddlers Ferry. Everything had to go into either Tuebrook or the Wapping to Run Round. When the Coal died off, they then decided to reinstate the curve, another stroke of Management genius.
I love the sound of those 66's,they sound as though they are just ticking over.
