That’s cool they showed a papec clip there. Papec is a forgotten brand but made a hell of a chopper. They made them so good you could run a one row unit with a 1206 without blowing it up.
Love the music with the video. Reminds me of my grandpa, he loved polka music and owned a lot of gehl forage equipment from the 50's on into the early 90's.
Hey Ikon,,,super cool video. Always amazing to me how much the technology has changed,,but amazingly similar it is. Love calling Wisconsin home for a variety of reasons, but Gehl stands out. Thanks again. Careful with the tater digger.
I picked a few dairy parlor classics from Wisconsin polka bands. The genre is heading south like French Creole & I'm doing my best to support it. Glad you enjoyed!
that would've been my time ⌚ 😊 back in the 1940s 1950s specially after WW2 when trucks tractors cars went back in 2 production again and when U could go 2 the factory 🏭 😊 yourself and seeing it being made and tested and U could also go 2 a truck tractor or car dealer close by and test drive what U wanted and it cost no where what things do 2 day and diesel tractors were brand new in the late 1940s and super markets had and could get what ever U wanted 2 eat 😊😊 candy 🍬 😊 cookies 🥠 🎉 by the pound and I have heard grandpa going 2 the store 2 get what he needed 2 make candy and cookies both and U still could get block cheese 🧀 😊 by the pound or get a whole cheese wheel it's been years since IVE seen any at all like that 😊😊 OMG 5 3 2O24

Yup! My grandpa had a chopper like that self-propelled model.
I grew up using those self unloading wagons and a silage blower of that model.
Wonderful footage. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you liked it!
Love the salesman sample of the chopper.
It was really neat! Glad you enjoyed!

Glad you enjoyed! Gehl & polka went hand & hand around here too for a long time. Still does in a few spots.
That multi-dealer equipment fair would have been really something to see back in the day.
There's still antique tractor shows, I guess.😁
Thanks for the video, takes me back to my youth when I would help a neighbor and his hired crew chop corn and put in the portable silo.👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Is that Whoopee John Wilfahrt?
I agree! Defiantly Whoopee John.
Yep, it is Whoopee John!

Thank you & will do!
Dairyland Jubilee music 🎶. Polka music is perfect for Gehl. West Bend is a German area as well as much of Wisconsin.
Still hoping to happen across a few local polka bands for the next installment. They are not common on 78.
Nice video
Thank you!
Your choice or theirs for the music.?? 🤔 It looks amazing btw very nice work. Thanks for the content.
It’s the films music. Just old ad music, it would sound the same as todays just the quality isn’t as good.

@@ikonseesmrno7300 not a bad choice my first time hearing it. Fits the film in a sense to me. Well played sir
@@30acreshop_time This film was from 16mm without sound. The music is from old 78's that are of local Wisconsin polka bands that I edited in.
@@ikonseesmrno7300 oh I see thank you
That looks like popcorn used to demo the forage wagon.
It may very well be.
It's a demo for dad, and a treat for junior!

So glad you enjoyed! There's still a place near here, where I can buy cheese by the wheel, but don't want to take out a loan to do it. 😁
