This video keeps on giving! We have a 2020 TAB400 BL and this just happened to us during our summer 2023 camping season. Your video is so appreciated! The camera views were spot on and in such a tiny space to work, I was very pleased to NOT have to pull the whole toilet to change this valve!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!
Tiolet in the Pa Pod was leaking. Thanks to your UA-cam and the excellent tutorial for the direction, the part needed to repair was received and installed, single handedly. Only have the use of my left hand from my stroke. So never give up! Thanks again!
I didn't add one since turning off the water pump or city water connection will stop the flow. For me, if there is a leak that is a big enough issue that it is causing a problem, then I would fix it ASAP. Following the logic of needing a shut off valve for a water connection would require a shut off valve at each fixture and both hot and cold lines, i.e. kitchen sink, shower/sink, toilet, outside shower... too much for me.
This was amazing help ! I duct taped a mirror to the wall behind the toilet so that I could see what I was doing ... the whole thing took 15 minutes !! I was so happy ! THANK YOU. And then the kitchen faucet handle came off in my hand and now I've got to fix that ... sigh ...
Thank you. Your Casita care videos are informative. I’m a first time trailer owner. On my way to purchase the valve kit. I feel empowered to take on the challenge of my leaky toilet. I wish someone would make a tutorial regarding the Casita mini blinds. How to straighten a bent blade.
I never dreamed that you could get such a good view of the work you were doing in such a small space. Thank you for sharing this. Hopefully I will never have to deal with this but you have shown me how if and when the time comes.
Pidasian, It was a challenge to get the views, it helped to film the video from my phone instead of the camera. I was able to put the phone on my selfie stick and attach it to the back wall with duct tape. Thank you for the comments.
Did you put a shut-off valve on the water supply for your toilet? We have seen where some people add a shut-off so that they can totally shut off water to the toilet if something should happen and there is a big leak. I believe that you can order the shut-off valve from Little House Customs.
Earl, Casita was out of stock when I needed it so they told me the part number and I ordered it from Amazon. Here is a link to my Amazon page where you can click to order items via my Amazon affiliate link. Go to rvadventures.me/products-gear/ and the replacement valve is in the top row next to the generators.
Marengo, Yes. Casita provides a one year warranty on the camper (shell, windows, parts they provide) and then the manufacturers provide the warranties for appliance items (stove, refrigerator, furnace, power converter, tires, battery, fantastic fan). Casita has sent me parts for free to fix the toilet, a drain, rivets, stabilizer jacks, and gas detector. If you do not want to replace items yourself, Casita will let you go to an approved dealer such as Camping World so you can take the trailer in for repairs at no cost to you during the warranty period. Thank you for asking. Stay tuned for more RV Adventures.
I did that to relieve the pressure in the lines... as the video shows, when I opened the sink faucets, the water came out with the hose unhooked... once the water system is pressurized, it will stay that way until a valve is opened. If I took the supply hose off of the valve with the system pressurized it would be a mess. Also, since water flows downhill, the sink water lines are higher than the toilet lines and water left in the lines would flow out of the supply line. Thanks for commenting, I just wanted to avoid the water spill!

The BEST UNCOMPLICATED video I’ve seen on this subject. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for making this video. Just ordered my valve - leaking exactly where yours was.

Best instructional video I have seen! Thanks!!
Wow, thanks!
Thank You Allan, very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice and understandable video. Have the valve on the way and a bit more comfortable about changing it now without removing stool. Thanks
Glad it helped, it is an easy repair.
Thank you! Great video!
Glad you liked it!
Cool! Thanks, I love your instructional videos. Easy peasy for us ladies.
Thank you so much for making this video of step by step instructions! My husband was able to easily replace because of your video! Sincere gratitude!!
Glad I could help!
Glad I found your channel I have this problem on my Starcraft ar-one maxx.
Hope this video will help out. Thanks
Everyone should carry a extra one for their Casita - I just replaced it while on a road trip. THANKS this video helped alot
Having to do the same replacement. It is a shame that Thetford valves are so prone to leaking in that spot, even with pressure reducers.
Tremendous video, surely answered my questions. Thank you so much. Rick.
Glad it was helpful!
No shutoff valve on the water supply line?

Great idea... glad you tackled the job.

Most would advise you to replace the bent blade.
@@RVAdventuresTV Appreciate the empowerment.
Could you give me the part number and manufactured for the leaking valve? My valve is leaking above the black connector just like yours.
Yes... the valve replacement kit is the last item listed on our Blog page: rvadventurestv.blogspot.com/2021/02/amazon-maintenancerepairs.html

Thx for this video. I needed that!

I didn't put in a shut-off valve, but I may do that in the future. Thanks.
Thank you professor!, love it.
Carol, Thank you for the comment. I hope to continue to provide good videos.
Did you have to order your replacement valve from Casita? What did you need to know to get the correct valve?

Doing min tomorrow. Fingers crossed🤞🏻
Good info! What do you tow your Casita with? Thanks
Cajun, My tow vehicle is a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It does a great job with the Casita trailer. Thanks for watching.
Were you using a pressure regulator? That's the only thing I can think of for why it would fail. Great videos by the way!
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I have always use a regulator at the water bib connection so I am not sure why it failed.
For a new rv is there a warranty on the things you have had to repair?
Marengo, Yes. You shouldn't have to disconnect the hose from the RV, it should be a one way valve....just sayin!

Very comprehensive. Thumbs up!
Thank you.
