I bought my Apple Watch ultra with the alpine loop band and wanted to buy a more sweat proof/waterproof band as well, so I bought a replica ocean band because I didn't want to pay the steep price for the original. I was quite happy with it at first. However, the clasp fell off around 2 weeks later without me realizing straight away, I was lucky not to lose my watch completely. I've not heard of any complaints of people losing the clasp on the original ocean band. I think I'm going to buy the original for peace of mind.
I am thinking of gets the original ocean band because I prettend to use the watch, on pool, in the gym, on the sea etc. But I also want a more confortable band for using daily, would you recommend getting the replica of trail loop, or is better to get the original trail loop and use it on the water?
The only replica bands are those made by Epic Watch Bands that is a company which has been making replica and original watch bands for the Apple Watches for many years now. Their are well made and do last as long as the Apple Watch bands do. Epic is very proud of their bands and should be. I heard from someone in the know at Epic a few days back and this person told me that they are evaluating which of the bands to make and, in all probability, which bands to create for the Apple Watch Ultra that Apple has not created. It may be a few more weeks befsore we see their bands come to market but when their bands are for sale you can bet they will be of the highest quality and will be worth the money you will spend for their bands.😊
When I first saw them I was like “that’s the worst band I’ve ever seen”. Got my ultra with the trail loop and my friend wound up getting his with the ocean loop. Put his one and love it too. Wound up getting an ocean band and swap between them. It’s such a weird band that I didn’t think I would like
One of my previous Apple watches is on bottom of river after broking Amazon/Chinese band while windsurfing... Not really worth risking 1000EUR watch by saving bit on band...
The one think I’ve learnt from Apple products they cost more because of the quality. I went down the replica road on many Apple products only to find my way back buying the original when the replica failed. It actually cost more money so I don’t buy replicas anymore. Lesson learned.

The quality of the Apple bands is undeniable, they are much better than the Amazon alternatives in wear and in use. If you can’t or won’t afford the genuine article, then you might as well buy a $50 fake Apple Watch too and save even more money. Since Apple do not make a metal band specifically for the Apple Watch Ultra, it is reasonable to purchase a third party metal band if that is the look that you want. But do not be deceived into thinking third party bands are just as good as the Apple bands, they quite simply all fall short in one way or another.
I bought the Amazon one and returned the next day, opting for the genuine apple. The rubber was a lot more flimsy feeling, almost too stretchy, and had an evident seam running down the side. Also, they aren’t the same length, the Amazon is slightly longer which is noticeable on my wrist. Finally, the Amazon band clasp is just a cheap alternative. I will reconsider a cheaper Amazon band if I can find one with improved plastics and clasp.

The original ocean band is thicker and a bit heavy plus the buckles are titanium , while the replica one is lighter and more stretchy. But they are both soft to touch. The video that you have is a sand color, which the replica one has in their color scheme, but they also have that white color that is same in your video. I bought it less than one dollar and I bought eight colors and I think I like it. I’m not really into heavy and extreme activities such as diving. I am just using it for work in a regular basis. Just an average user here. I also checked that they also have that NOMAD counterfeits which has different colors as well. To tell you honestly those NOMAD counterfeits are really OK and thicker. I must say that if you want to spend less then go for this replica ones and will not spend $100 and will not use it for heavy duty purposes just for changing it every now and then, counterfeits are OK to buy IF you dont mind spending alot! 😅I also have Ringke, my third party band which I trust. This video is incorrect! I ordered these and they are thinner which is fine it doesn’t effect the look but they are also not as wide, so if you want the same look that the apple bands give the watch these are not it…I feel like the reviewer should have said something because it’s so obvious.
The ones we got were not thinner, as you can see in the video. However there is different quality of replicas on Amazon so not all the vendors have the same ones!
I use the Ringke brand and Spigen in my third party band. I tried ordering this fake bands in 8 colors and will try to use them. Lol. My ringke and spigen are so in good quality as well. Maybe nxt week, those fake one will be delivered in less than $1 😅

Knock off will show age fast, don’t do it. What you pointed out is a no go, hardware is not titanium and is cheap overall. Apple bands are a bit overpriced but last so they got you. I would rather have less bands that last and match.
I like the real elastomere product and don’t like the cheap silicone that get shiny and collect dust. I rather have 1 or 2 quality products than the knock ofs, been there done that
The Apple has titanium metal parts on its strap. I don't know about the Amazon ones as I don't have any but looking at the video the shiny colour of the buckle and loop suggest they are stainless steel.
It’s also because the bands are carbon neutral the bands might be v more expensive on Apple but it made with re used material and recycled product not made new life the Amazon bands
Most won't care for a clasp not being titanium if you pay 1/5 th of the original ... Also there are many more colors than Apple provides and this gives people more options. Let's face it, these are bands people .....

I mean it works just the same but wont know if it will last or protect that watch until you use it... but im not gonna rick it.... always go for genuine accessories.... why would you spend 800 on a watch an give it a $20 watch strap? also the straps go for $7-10 on eBay lol
I got the same ones for 1.50 on Ali express. All the bands are made in the same factory in China and sold from 1- 50 dollars depending on the seller. They especially jack up the price in western markets.

Those bands suck big time. the waffle design put too much pin point pressure on certain points of your wrist instead of spread pressure out over whole wrist like normal bands. I changed OEM ocean yellow for Sunglow Apple Solo Loop - long Apples most comfortable band.
