This music defined much of my youth and current taste for mainstream artists, which is to say distaste for current music. Oh how I didn’t know how spoiled I was in the 90s!
interesting that you picked that up..........Riley did a song a few years back called The Future (using the "Fly Like an Eagle sample)......and it was the name of his recording studio......he must have been a huge Steve Miller fan. But tell me....did you catch the "Can't Help Myself" sample and reference???
Actually, yes. The sample in some parts was “I Can’t Help It” from the 1979 album “Off the Wall”. You’ll most likely hear it around the bridge. But if you’re speaking of the background vocals of “Joy”, then also yes. Michael did write the song and according to Teddy, there’s also a recording. So perhaps his portion of the background vocals happen to be here.
Classic from 1995! ❤️🔥
Black Street made this song back in the year 1994 and they still got it going on and this music is going hard
Listing classic 90s in 2024
That Keith Murray sample tho! Im glad I was born in 81' to be apart of the REAL Music era(aka golden era)
I was blessed to be an 80s baby/90s kids. I hope for this kind of music to come back.
Still waiting........eagerly.

Michael Jackson wrote this track, and Timbaland was the ghost producer. Teddy just slapped his name on it 🤷🏻♂️
I like the original because it's pretty, but this funk's a little more with that base line!
I'm obsessed with both versions.
