You know when you think about it, Frieza WASN'T all that a skilled fighter. He was just all about naturally being hundreds of times stronger than his enemies. Though one thing about him, he was a terrifyingly effective killer, perfecting his pinpoint Death Beams. Also taking into consideration his wierder techniques like the Prison Ball, the Death Psycho Bomb, the Death Slicer, and his more prominent usage of telekinesis over other DB characters.
That math question traumatized Vegeta so severely, that when the Cell Games were over, he returned to Capsule Corp, and finally decided to marry Bulma, and be a father to Trunks. Not for the sake of being a responsible husband or father, but because Goku demonstrated to him the personal benefits of raising a child.
The irony here is that this would totally be in character of Goku to do this if he was academically smart. Would it be his first option to roast this way, no but it would still be an option

Well the signs were there, the "signature" volley attack, the fact he always lose because he doesn't measure correctly the power levels of the opponents and most obviously, he never helped Trunks with his homework.
I never thought of that but he's absolutely right, I always thought that Frieza at 100% might be a bit superior to Goku but he ended up losing reason that he had the disadvantage that at 100% his energy drains very quickly resulting in misses this advantage, but when you consider that he was actually never trained in his life it makes even more sense. The Anime also shows the fight being a lot more even than it actually was, Frieza in the manga at 100 percent of his power was still getting sauced by Goku. Frieza's Power Level at least according to the Daizentsu was 120,000,000 In his 100 percent form, Goku's was 150,000,000. If you read the manga it's pretty clear that Goku is fucking with him

To be fair, in the manga, goku a.) was well aware that Freeza at 100% would only get weaker, holding nothing in reserve and b.) yes, goku was also aware that Freeza, while extremely strong, was also very inexperienced, having never really fought anyone at or near his level. Thus, all SSJ goku had to do was survive long enough and Freeza would burn himself out. Don't believe me? Take a look at how Vegeta and Trunks approach Perfect Cell in the episodes preceding this scene. Trunks fighting at "100%" was far less effective.
I think the results speak all for themselves. Yeah Goku let Frieza power up to 100%, but he got the job done in so much as he neutralized the threat at that moment.
Also to be fair too, Goku did wish for everybody on Namek to be teleported somewhere else, so even at the end of the day Goku and Frieza going all out with nothing and no-one in their way definitely benefit Goku to do what he normally does and still win at the end of the day.

This is a really cool, interesting and very entertaining WHAT IF concept. TFS Dragon Ball Z abridge took awhile and several episodes in the Namek saga for me to even like their content (season 1: Saiyan saga, I feel like they were still trying to find their voices 🤔). So yeah, congrats for entertaining me in 1 minute and 36 seconds while TFS took several episodes to do it. 👍😄👍 I could actually see myself binge watching this if this series actually existed. In case people don't know, there is a concept in fiction called "a Free Action" in which certain actions do not count against the actual time going through. Sometimes, talking can be a free action (like the character says they can't dodge and say a lot but in real life, that'd be a lot of time to dodge -the idea being that he talking is breaking the rules and realistically, there is no time to speak). In the case of many shows, transformation is the free action. Meaning, FOR VIEWERS ONLY, the transformation is taking a while, but in universe, it takes no time at all.... "a Free Action" is often good for either adding more information for viewers OR to show the viewers the process of something OR (as in the case of DBZ) it's just pure filler to pad the time.
Or we can just accept that it's DBZ time, and they've been moving faster than the human eye can perceive when fighting since the final tournament of DB, when prior to that they show Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chouzu were all seen blowing past a sports car maxing out the needle and only leaving a trail of color behind, during simple training, not moving at their max. When things around you move at that same speed, for example in a car next to a moving train, both going exactly 40mph, neither of you look like you are moving until you take in the world around the object.
Canonically on dbz the transformation does take time It's Just the Energy from the process normally just push away any attempts at stoping it You Just need to be plain out more powerfull than the guy on full power and transformed as well to stop the transformation

Better to just accept it as an inevitability, and be ready for it, than risk the consequences of asking Zeno to rescind the tournament that he himself had inspired, and requested. Sure, his confidence and love for battle undersold the gravity of the threat, but that's a more productive attitude than freaking out, or being concerned with what might happen if they lose.

TFS Dragon Ball Z abridge took awhile and several episodes in the Namek saga for me to even like their content (season 1: Saiyan saga, I feel like they were still trying to find their voices 🤔).

In case people don't know, there is a concept in fiction called "a Free Action" in which certain actions do not count against the actual time going through.
Sometimes, talking can be a free action (like the character says they can't dodge and say a lot but in real life, that'd be a lot of time to dodge -the idea being that he talking is breaking the rules and realistically, there is no time to speak).
In the case of many shows, transformation is the free action.
Meaning, FOR VIEWERS ONLY, the transformation is taking a while, but in universe, it takes no time at all....
"a Free Action" is often good for either adding more information for viewers OR to show the viewers the process of something OR (as in the case of DBZ) it's just pure filler to pad the time.
Or we can just accept that it's DBZ time, and they've been moving faster than the human eye can perceive when fighting since the final tournament of DB, when prior to that they show Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chouzu were all seen blowing past a sports car maxing out the needle and only leaving a trail of color behind, during simple training, not moving at their max.
When things around you move at that same speed, for example in a car next to a moving train, both going exactly 40mph, neither of you look like you are moving until you take in the world around the object.
Canonically on dbz the transformation does take time
It's Just the Energy from the process normally just push away any attempts at stoping it
You Just need to be plain out more powerfull than the guy on full power and transformed as well to stop the transformation
So this explains how Dio could talk in Jotaro's stopped time

@@dvontechappel1579 In Goku's defense though, he had no idea the entire multiverse would be put at risk until after it was too late. Otherwise I doubt he would've proposed the tournament. Once they were past that point of no return though, he simply decided that he might as well make the best of it, and threw himself into the situation full force. Better to just accept it as an inevitability, and be ready for it, than risk the consequences of asking Zeno to rescind the tournament that he himself had inspired, and requested. Sure, his confidence and love for battle undersold the gravity of the threat, but that's a more productive attitude than freaking out, or being concerned with what might happen if they lose.

Y’know, because this is dragon ball and doing actual math doesn’t matter in it, I didn’t realize that it really only took basic math to pretty accurately predict Frieza’s full power based on the half of his power that he had shown during that fight, so all Goku had to to was just imagine how strong two 50% Friezas would be and he’d have a pretty good idea of what Frieza at 100% would be

On the way back from a wrestling tournament in high school we found out one of the guys on our team didn't know what 10% of 100 was. We nearly crashed the van because all of us including the driver had the same reaction as Piccolo 😂
