This is the best theme to play in the final chase. It's probably the most in your face serious of the themes, it gives a much stronger vibe of "Cross has had enough of your shit and he wants you arrested by any means necessary". The day that we get a sequel to carbon, the day that we get a new NFS game where in a history mission the antagonist hire that old damn bountyhunter, and the day that in that same mission we "recover" the BMW M3 GTR and we have to escape of that damned black corvette again, running as hell because the IA of Cross is super hard to evade and extremely agressive (and use the same tactic of getting in front of us and brake to get us maked in a sandwich) while a modern remix of 9:35 part starts playing. Need For Speed Most Wanted was one of my favorite Xbox games during childhood. Too bad I never finished the whole game because I lacked the knowledge on how to drive properly. The Challenge series levels were still entertaining to play and the pursuit music just kills me everytime.
Music is the most importantly thing on intense things like a pursuit, it makes it a lot more intense and entertaining for everyone. No music will just make it boring and pointless

"Yeah Dispatch I'm in the vicinity of the suspects last known location and I've got nothing, I'm heading south but I think we lost him."
"Yeah, we're err... running low on fuel for this engage and err.. we're gonna have to bail on this chase and return to base."
Many gamers these days wouldn't know how genuinely satisfying this atmosphere is after a 3 hour chase.

HIGH STRESS AFTER THIS CHASE MUSIC
its me once again, 9:35 its the best one
This is the feeling when you are driving so fast and about to hit a roadblock.
and that police car will be destroyed
For me it was that, 2:17, 10:02, 10:34 and 11:06.

five years later and this still holds up way too well! this has to be one of, if not the best pursuit theme in all of the series, and 9:35 is still the best part
Literary
This is the best theme to play in the final chase.
It's probably the most in your face serious of the themes, it gives a much stronger vibe of "Cross has had enough of your shit and he wants you arrested by any means necessary". The other themes are just as good, but maybe because the first time I finished the game, this played, so maybe I'm biased.
Totally understandable. It does have a menacing vibe to it.
at heat 5 federal pursuit or heat 4 undercover state patrol, heavy SUVs on a head-on collision and spike strips are your worst nightmare, even heat 6 undercover federal pursuit since there are heavy SUVs chasing.

I should play this in my new car for...reasons

I love how they kept pursuit music from MW in Carbon 😈👊🏻🔝
Well, only 1st and 3rd ones. Not 2nd and the 4th theme only plays in a cutscene.
I dunno why but no one ever seems to mention how amazing the heat increasing part of the pursuit theme is, the others are good but this is even better
Now tell me if high speed cooldown isnt the most epic thing you have ever heard.

Well that sounded a lil bit quirky LMAOOO
I remember doing some more time on the pursuit on purpose... I stayed like two or tree hours making disaster... taking the long road... doing around and around the main highway... doing the 8 Infractions for the rap sheet always... I always tested myself to do more and more... never got bored of this game... I really miss it.
So sad EA doesn't can replicate such as great game!!!...
Holy shit, nice to see new comments. People still care about this!!! Really good to see y'all. I hope you are having fun with IRL cars now that we are all grown up
I'm glad to see it to. Trying to reply to some in the hopes these pursuit themes get more views.
Yeah, damn, crazy how time seems to just fly by right?? Kinda makes me miss my childhood. 😅
Funny that you mention IRL cars because I fully replayed MW and Carbon while learning to drive haha
10:33 Ah yes. The rap sheet music. Perfect for checking it while hiding from cops.
Man, i remember when I was on a pursuit like 15 minutes and I escape with this part of the song 10:33
Dude, that was perfect, after of being 2 minutes hiding they found me and the song start again

I did notice that came on sometimes when the evasion part of the meter went up.
man i remember when i was 10, craving for pursuit, immobilizing cops left and right, speedbreakers gone every 5 minutes. every high speed ride i had always on condition 5 after the pursuit. it felt good afterwards. man, the final pursuit was like heaven for me. i never felt so rushed since then....
For me this is the best pursuit theme of the game
Everyone talks about 9:35, but that transition to High Speed Cooldown from Reckless Driving at 8:40 is also pure eargasm, never gets old
The only game that make our heart beats fast
Yo 9:34 Old but gold 😢
The day that we get a sequel to carbon, the day that we get a new NFS game where in a history mission the antagonist hire that old damn bountyhunter, and the day that in that same mission we "recover" the BMW M3 GTR and we have to escape of that damned black corvette again, running as hell because the IA of Cross is super hard to evade and extremely agressive (and use the same tactic of getting in front of us and brake to get us maked in a sandwich) while a modern remix of 9:35 part starts playing.
That fucking day, is were the nostalgia would make us love the game as we loved it back then... and also make us shit our pants again when he appears to chase us.
yeah fuck remakes,sequels better
9:34 Is the point of no return
Edit: I DID A MİX ACCORDİNG TO THİS COMMENT. (In the Link) I used EA-010 Library for the mix.
ua-cam.com/video/lNB3guFtaYY/v-deo.html
My old comment:
This pursuit theme comes from the "Don't Like It Do Ya" track (as the desc said)
or comes from the "Busted" track if you are listening the EA-010 Library version of the soundtrack.
I wanted to do this since i've NEVER seen a track in an OST mixed this badly, i don't know who made these unoffical tracks, but he/she did an amazing job. Mad respect.

12:06 - 12:30 Low Speed Cooldown 2 : Busted (Don't Like It Do Ya) 00:34 - 01:01
12:30 - 14:26 Transitions.
Between 01:56 - 02:24 and between 05:36 - 06:14 from original Busted (Don't Like It Do Ya) track didn't used in this mix (A very good decision cause those parts are REALLY BAD, worst parts of the track).

Legendary Times !
The golden era of gaming I say, a good mix of modern technology and the fact they used to pour their hearts into these games..
Razor: "Listen up, Punk!"
"You know who this is, So shut your mouth and open your ears!"
"Now you're either helping the cops, Or someone you're hanging with is, And i don't-!"
"I don't care either way!"
"But let's see how you like it when the tables are turned."
Jacob Ramirez players heat level gets launched up to Level 5 pre Webster events Mia Calls Mia: Hey I’ve lowered you heat level the cops are getting to hot.
These games were the best definitely! The effort they put into it. Despite the technological limitations at the time!
Funnily enough, I think this track was missing in NFSC. It reused NFSMW's pursuit themes 1 and 3 anyway (and had 4 in a cutscene, I think), but why leave this one out?
Correct.
It really fit the vibe for carbon imo
