When you kick the hotels out and all US infrastructure you won’t have much left to trade with other nations. You’ll also be low on food, medicine, and medical supplies. Chinese Poaching Fleets will plunder your waters overfishing and dredging every reef they can unless you create your own coastguard then again you’ll still be low on resources that also includes ammunition and diesel. Also in 2014 Putin announced his will to annex Hawaii.
I have a simpler solution. Don’t reelect Biden because he’s making it worse. Kick your local government in the butt for not acquiring fire fighting air tankers, planning to clear brush or do controlled burns at the start of fire season and letting billionaires purchase so much land; have them actually make changes beneficial to the people and maybe deal with a few hotels and tourism businesses but that’s a little tricky because if you f up you might end up biting the hand that feeds you.

It’s expensive for everyone to live in Hawaii just be careful of Billionaires grabbing land but your local gov has to get involved and actually make changes. Example: Hawaii should have control burns, brush clear outs, and air tankers in the case of fires. Hawaii gov should be cautious with billionaire land purchases and maybe a few hotels it’s hard to say with tourism businesses because you might end up biting the hand that feeds ya.
