Man, I’m gonna save $20k and just disappear to Chiang Mai for a year and focus on enjoying my fitness and training. Just ceebs dealing with corporate australia atm. Hoping $20k will be enough to live a frugal life of just training, eating and learning a bit of Thai (Ed visa)
Yeah I can imagine - Australia is pricey! The cost is really all based on your lifestyle but for training, eating and learning, Chiang Mai is totally doable!
Great video! Thank you for sharing. With the international license, can you purchase your own scooter and drive around? Or is that only good for rentals?
My pleasure!! :) with the international driving license you can rent a scooter, but I’m not sure you can buy it. I would ask directly to a local seller to have a better understanding
Hi Sanjay! I'd say the best time to go is November-January. The weather is hot but dry and no rainy season just finished. We were there in February and there was a lot of pollution due to the burning season so I won't recommend that time.
Ciao!
@@joyoushapes Ok We are traveling between Mexico and Argentina for a few years before heading back to SE Asia. Currently we are in Nicaragua. Here our total bills run about $1100/month and we don’t budget at all.
@@joyoushapes But what I don't understand is how your food cost was higher in Chiang Mai than in Kuala Lumpur. I stayed 1 month in Chiang Mai and am currently in Kuala Lumpur. I find that KL is generally 2-3 times more expensive than CM. In some popular restaurants, food could cost less than 1 dollar in CM, here in KL I haven't found anything even close to that.
@@sirinongorur5676 so interesting you say that, I found right the opposite haha! KL to me was cheaper than CM! I also have to say that I ate a lot of western food in CM - soo good!

@@joyoushapesWhat do full time residents do during the burning season? I don't think they move away.
I think you exclude many expenses like health insurance, visa cost, toiletries, etc.
Yes they aren’t in the video but you can watch my other ones for further infos :)
Ciao, che visto hai fatto per restare più di un mese?

@@joyoushapes grazie mille! Non sapevo si potesse fare anche a Chiang Mai...arrivo a Gennaio, nel caso ci si vede lì :) Grazie ancora
nice raxx, maam
thank you!
So a couple would spend $900/month for food ? That seems high ?
I feel that, on my pov, an average of $15 x day x person is a great deal if you don’t miss out on food :)

How can 1031 divided by two be 763?
Some of the costs I mentioned are already only mine, and some are double up.

Math is a little off
Some are divided by 2 other not. The total is only my expense :)
