Wow, is it a coincidence that he literally says "that when an individual does something wrong... they wanna blame all of hip hop. You got certain individuals who are good. And certain individuals that are bad" ? 2 years later the accusations sprung up. 😱

He said that because he knew that one day his dark deeds would come to light, notice the body language and look in his eyes after that statement. The eyes are the window to ones soul. This is why no man should ever be put on a pedestal.

I remember being facinated by Planet Rock, Looking for the Perfect Beat. Just over and over and over again. Then Renegades came out after Beat Street came out. I knew DJ Birdy. Who pioneered hip hop in Perth, even Australia. But i seen him go upto gang leaders and say. Lets battle it out in public , like men! I was only 9yrs old .

Hip Hop has lasted four decades and more because of its foundation from its essence as a culture regardless of what the music industry wants to dictate of what the current trends are. the culture adaptes to the issues of current trends, controversy does'nt push the envelope it just demands attention. attention in a broader scale generates money in popularity regardless of good music or bad music. the industry relies on taste makers and gatekeepers to allow attention to be gathered from the masses, the younger you are the less references you have from the past and further past (before they were born) to make a mature judgement to say that its good music even though the ceos of the music industry could care less about what the young say is good music or bad music unless it generates large amount of money made. programming is administered from devices which gives who ever with the access to the programming to set people's mind to the trends because most people typically want to be relevant to the times. good music comes from developement and lots of references from musical history. why would the industry mind the trial and errors of what the demands are and who dictates the demands, is it the industry or the people?! if the masses are mindless (careless) then the programming is powerful in advantage to the industry. who has the control the masses (people) or the ceos of the industry. people should be in control of what they consume to fulfill their demands from their own needs and wants out of the best possible focus for sustainablitiy. forty years and the people are content with their music or is just a blank slate and not enough time to be grateful of how far music has come. other countries have focus of the essence but just because america trusts its young to dictate the trends even though they don't have much references of focus from previous focus to hold its ground in foundation, why should the young rely on their not so mature balances to hold its longevity. if they are grateful and use the tools that alway have been there regardless of the outlawing because of greed through the use of blood suckers. or is it the chase for resolution in medium in our music making tools that have been over developed at their capacity that the music hasn't caught up to the forefront of its technical potential. the canvas is running away from the artist, the artist wants a stable ground/canvas to paint on but the running away of the resolution of its canvas/ground and its technical ability is moving too fast to settle for a steady stroke of the wrist in order to paint a good picture or make good music. artist only paint within the context of its steady frame and focus. a blurry picture because of the lack of focus is mindless. the blending of genres doesn't give definition unless every genre has the similar texture and focus.
