Fort Myers has a very interesting history I always felt heavy undeniable energy going there as a child . MLK BLVD is also crazy area in Fort Myers an area that is still effected by poverty. Leigh also had heavy home robbery’s at one point in the mid 2000s.

While the government may be able to implement policies that are meant to improve these areas the people who live there must take action and cannot just rely on help that is not going to come. One may not be responsible for the circumstances and events in their lives but we must still take ownership of them. It will take a sea change in the way the people in these communities think and live for any government aid to help. For example look at how the poor spend their income. They will complain about spending large shares of income on housing and yet we see them with expensive phones, clothes, and cars. They want to be seen as rich when they are not. So a change in spending habits is required for example.
If you want to feel safe get a half acre put a fence around it and get 4 or 5 pit bulls make sure there APBT and no more brake ins or problems. I lived like that for years in the Redlands Dade County.
