i watched this and Lightning on the day this cover came out and just reminisced about what it influenced down the road. My love for singer song-writers always and forever, no matter what kind of music ( Alex Goot is the reason even in kpop i have a specific type of bias Always and it even showed up in my pop punk/alternative phase???), my ability to harmonise easily, multiple outfits that were inspired by Chrissy(i am glad some of those ipod selfies of my birthday outfits will never be retrieved), and a general appreciation for acoustic covers and live performances that will never fade and might lead me down to a career with live events (let's see where my master's takes me). It's funny how it's just UA-cam but 12 year old me, in hindsight, really absorbed so much from listening to these covers, listening to the original albums, going to a concert even (and falling in love with the venue forever!!) and making all my friends listen, talking about music day in and out and finding so much joy in it when home really was rough. 10 years ago i was in the same room i am in right now for the winter holidays, and listening to the same stuff, not knowing i was really gonna be able to come back to it and trace some big life decisions and character traits to this. 10 years... cheers to 2023
