Josh's entire plan makes no sense to me. He should blame Mike and Jess the most for the prank but he does the least to nothing at all to them. Unless you count sending them to a cabin with no electricity, I'd be pretty upset. Josh's order of blame should go as Jess (She planned the prank) Mike (He was the center piece of the prank) Matt (He was recording) Ashlee and Emily (They went along) Chris (He was passed out) and Sam (She literally tried to shut it down but was to late) Instead, he messed with Chris and Ashlee the hardest, the Sam (Chased her around, drugged her, then tied her up in a basement. No idea what he wanted to do with her after), then Matt and Em (Locked them out of areas and destroyed the cart station. Which no idea why he did that, that's a lot of money he or his dad has to pay for) and didn't do a thing to Mike and Jess. But even looking at it, if the Wendigos didn't show up his prank wasn't terrible. Messing with them with Oija Board was funny. The tech guru stuff is impressive. Punching Chris was unnecessary but not over the top I guess. Even the decision between him and Ashlee, if the trick failed and was going for Ash, he could've stopped it. I think drugging Sam was when he finally croseed the "What the fuck dude" mark. No idea what his plan was for her. Destroying the Cart Station more or less made his own life harder, good for you man. But the fact that if the pully's failed, that entire contraption would fall on them and kill them. He couldn't have had any back up plan for that. But overall I think Josh's plan was not thought out, aimed at the wrong people, and overall not as smart as it could've been. Also shitty luck that the mountain is littered with Wendigos. A theory I like about the prank is that Josh targeted Sam, Chris and Ash the most because he has the highest relationship with them. He targeted them so that they would be the main characters in the movie he was making since he was filming them. He also wanted to get Chris and ash together. He was obviously not in his right mind and was either off his meds and or on wrong meds since he took meds for depression when it’s pretty clear he has some kind of hallucinating related disorder like schizophrenia. Anyway that’s probably why he targeted his loved ones and said fuck off to the ppl most involved.
One small detail you missed is that Matt is Josh's lowest default relationship out of the whole friend group, so the real question everyone should be asking is why Matt wasn't a central focus.
@@literallyspiderman08 Josh was confirmed off his meds, and he did have depression since age 11, but schizophrenia was an underlying disorder paired with it, so he wasn't able to be given completely proper care, and I have a theory that his severe schizophrenia was developed instead of something he was born with. Because the game constantly mentions the loneliness and isolation Josh feels, and loneliness has been thought to be a factor of what causes schizophrenia, because if humans who are social creatures go too long without someone to talk to, and someone that understands us, then the mind will make up someone or something to communicate with.
I'm really hoping that this remake will give us an explanation for the exposition in the beginning, I'm pretty sure there's stuff that was not there before...
