The three athletes all faced backlash for daring to pose for Playboy in their heyday. Now, they are opening up about how they were shamed for their decision to pose for the magazine in a new episode of "Secrets of Playboy." Inside Edition's Lisa Guerrero is the series host.

I wish somebody somewhere would finally take responsibility for their actions. I see nothing wrong with posing nude for any magazine. But to then whine that some people criticized you for it is the height of entitlement. What in the world did these women expect? That the fundamentalist Christians of this nation would rise up and applaud them?

Exactly. Like i don't see a problem with playboy models, but not everyone is going to agree with it. I do find the shaming to be way too harsh, like ok if some people don't like playboy magazines cuz they find them indecent, then fine, just mind your own business, no need to hate or shame the models.

Not an intention of Monroe's to be in Playboy. Before her acting career began, she was paid to pose nude for a calendar, to earn money she was very much in need of. Hugh then printed those photos in his magazine when he discovered the existence of said pics and when she was famous.
I believe if she had it her way, she would have rather not had her old nude pictures exploited in such a way🤦🏻♀️

I knew Andrea Mann quite well. We were both flagline cheerleaders together in the Baltimore Colts Marching Band. She is absolutely correct in how she was humiliated. Playboy actually came to one of our rehearsals, so one would assume that the Colts Band executives sanctioned this activity. I was also asked to pose, but I turned them down. The hypocrisy in this matter was palpable. Andrea got canned, but not the executives who apparently invited Playboy to attend our rehearsal and choose who they wanted for the publication.. Not to mention, the countless individuals who couldn't wait to get their hot little hands on the magazine!
There has always been a double standard, and it exists to this day. Since the Playboy Murders and Lethally Blonde episodes have appeared on TV depicting Playboy exploits, I have often wondered about Andrea's welfare. The hedonistic lifestyle and the danger depicted in these episodes is something that I sincerely hope has not befallen countless young women. I would like to send Andrea my warmest regards and wish her every happiness!
