What do you do when your y value carries a multiple and there aren't common factors for divisibility? Eg x+3y=11, 2x+y=7. I know that x and y here are 2 and 3, but I don't know how to arrive there using the graph.
First, subtract the constant from both sides so you get 7x-2y=11 now add -7x to both sides so you get -2y=-7x+11. Now divide all elements by -2 so you get y=(7/2)x+11/2 which is in y=mx+c.
would it also work for: x+2y=18 3x-y=5 my question says find the solution to simultaneous equations by drawing graphs and i was wondering how to do the one above, if anyone can help me it would be appreciated, thanks
Yeah I mean you're showing the 'what' but you're not explaining the 'why' of anything. Maths isn't like they teach at school where you just have to memorize stuff, it'd be nice to actually understand these concepts clearly by going in depth and visualizing them. If you're gonna do the exact same thing school does then I suggest not bothering with these UA-cam videos because you're not bringing anything new to the table, I can just use Khan Academy for that and even they do a better job than school does.
thankyou thankyou thankyou isolating atm and don’t get any explanation from my teacher
same lol
Same

Thank you very much, books don't explain this nearly as well as you just did, you just saved me about 2 hours of studying.
Bless this video, helped me right before my final exam, thanks heaps

Thx so much this is helping me with my GCSE's and u were so much clearer than my math teacher is
WHY ONLY 1.3 subs lol this is such a god tier explanation simple and efficient thx a lot dude alsoo
can u pls reply to this comment :)
My guy taught me more than my math teacher could in one semester lol
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART
i agree, like my math teacher doesnt even give me time to think about what is happening.
Thank you so much, now its more clearer and easier to arrange, i wish you are just my teacher.
For the first equation y -x=3 right what about if you have a number in front of y say for example 3 is the number in front of y
What do you do ?
Do you have to do the same method?
Thanks for the fantastic explanation!
Good video a learning programme during this time of covid 19
thx alot i missed a class about this and i needed explanation before my CAT and i A'ced it
Why does my teacher make it sound so difficult like boi what the hell boi
My goodness why can"t my teachers be this clear with an explanation thanks for the save!!!!!!
I watch this and wonder....how did my teacher explain something so simple....so badly
thank you so much, this is literally the only explanation that clicked with me
Thx that really helps 🌹
Thank you so much it was a great helpful too me in passing my final exam
Great video keep up the good work

AHHHH THIS IS GREAT!!! ITS SO MUCH EASIER TO UNDERSTAND AHHH I WAS FALLING BEHIND BUT NOT ANYMORE *^*
Who else noticed that most of the math related youtube videos are from like 7 or 9 years ago...
I noticed that lol but even tho it was like 7 or 9 year ago it saved my life 🥲
Your mom better be proud of you, you're saved the lives of everyone lucky enough to watch this video
What if the y in y=mx+c has a coefficient like.. 7x-2y+11= 0
First, subtract the constant from both sides so you get 7x-2y=11 now add -7x to both sides so you get -2y=-7x+11. Now divide all elements by -2 so you get y=(7/2)x+11/2 which is in y=mx+c.

who else has finals tomorrow and didn't study anything💀💀
What do you do when you don't have X or y .... I have I1 and I2
'I' could mean an intersecting point or two different points where the line will go through? I'm not sure though
Thanks you so much for this I was expecting to get an f tomorrow but now I'm more optimistic

Why isn’t the answer x=3 and y=-5. Using an alternate method I got those answers and they also work, is it still a valid answer?

I'm probably 8 years too late but what happens if you have three lines intersecting each other three times?

how did he know that m=1
Thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu somuchh bro u help me a lot
Thank you!!!!! Such a clear explanation
My question
3y = -4x +3
x= 2y + 1
How do I solve this?
divide the top equation by three
and for the bottom minus 1and divide by 2.
SQUARED SQUARED Nice man
Vaishnav Busgeeth Thanks man
does it always go one across
VAISH no it depends on what your gradient is (m) eg when his equation was y=2x-1 you will move two across because your gradient (m) is 2
what if eq is 2y=3x+2
y will be alone and 2 will divide that how to solve gradient?
What if it is -y=-x-3?
i dont get 1:50
Lo amo señor ❤❤❤
1:48 how do you know m is 1??
It's 1 as with every variable there is a hidden 1 present
