Another excellent and informative video mate. Looks a smart piece of kit and relatively easy to install by the looks of it. I'd be tempted with one of those one day!
@@Jason_1010 Thanks again Jason for your comments. I’m over the moon with this mate. Fitting was a breeze took 20 mins would have taken 10mins if I knew what I was doing 😁
Great video my question does the unit connect to the vehicle internet same as front screen via premium connectivity or do you have to hotspot it separately via moble phone 👍
My guy! This is an incredible video, I didn't know a screen this big would exist. I've been holding off for the refresh model for the rear passenger screen. This changes everything, the screen looks brilliant. I do have one question, you show at the end it connects to wifi - is that tethered to your phone, or the premium connectivity of the car? Can it do both? I assume either as you said it works whilst someone is driving.
@@afegargergegerg Thank you so much for your kind comments. As time goes by I’m discovering it can do a lot more than what I said in the video, I’m so pleased with it especially when I saw it next to a friends Model 3 refresh, we both agreed my screen looked bigger and cosmetically looked better as well. To answer your question it works off WiFi and also the hot spot on your phone. So you have both options. I have unlimited data on my phone so it costs me nothing on long journeys. The best thing I like about it is your rear passengers can you use headphones or apple ear pods through the Bluetooth connectivity while watching Netflix you tube etc leaving you to listen to music in the car or just enjoy the silence at times. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
@@Sunderland1963 That is great, really impressive. Thanks for taking the time to answer! How long did it take to ship? Also when you download things from the play store, like games, can a controller be used or is it touch screen only?

Like to hear more about the audio settings as you learn about it. Couple questions - Can rear passengers control car audio from here? Do you think Tesla will offer an upgrade once this is available in next gen? I’d pay $1k
@@ronwilliams4490 - Hi thanks for watching the video - Rear passengers can control the volume of the car audio using the Tesstudio multimedia Rear screen. However you cant do the same on the rear display on the the refresh Tesla that comes with the new model 3 as it only operates the 2 speakers on the rear display. My friend has got the new model 3 refresh with the rear display and we both said the Tesstudio version is far better. You get all the functionality and more with the Tesstudio display. The screen size is a lot bigger with this version. Mine is 8.66 inches which is the largest screen on the market currently. Quality of the product is exceptional and as you can see from the video it’s so easy to install. Ive not heard anything about them potentially going to supply an upgrade, however if they do you will definitely be paying for it. If you are in the market for one, I promise you, you will not be disappointed with the one Ive got in my car 👍
@@Sunderland1963 Just spoke with Tesla regarding this. The new Model 3 rear screen can play audio from the rear car speakers, the entire car, or bluetooth. Perhaps your friend just hasn't explored the options. Wonder if the Tess Studio can do the same?
@@ronwilliams4490 - Thanks Ron I will get him to check this out he’s only had the car a week. Let me have a little play with it tomorrow and I will clarify your question. At the moment I can play Netflix on the rear screen while driving and the sound comes out of the 2 speakers which are of a decent volume to hear while driving or you can use plug in headphones, Bluetooth headphones or any hearing devices that have Bluetooth connectivity. I will give you a more accurate response once I’ve checked it out 👍
Hi Ron latest from the Model 3 refresh owner after I asked him to check out your question. He has confirmed after playing around with the settings you can watch Netflix etc,in the rear of the car through the cars sound system which sounds like it’s the rear speakers of the car only, which would make sense. Obviously if you choose to play the sound in the rear system then you wouldn’t be able to play music or use the radio in the front for obvious reasons. The obvious solution for both systems would be for the rear passengers to use the Bluetooth connectivity in the rear to listen to music, play games and watch movies. Which then enables the front passengers to listen to music in the front or travel in silence if that’s their preference. I will check out the Tesstudio system over the weekend in case I have missed a sound adjustment setting to enable it to play through the rear speakers of my Tesla. Hope this answers your Query 👍
Hello, I got the same unit and installed it last week. I just want to ask how the audio on your Netflix? Mine is breaking up, so opt not to watch Netflix on this unit. Thanks!
@ that’s great. There are several vids out there showing people running a cord under the seat to connect the seat control for the right front passenger.
@ I have seen those vids myself but the display I fit doesn’t require that work to be done. I got one for a friend a few weeks ago and it literally took me less than 10 mins to complete. Super easy to do
If you go into the settings from the drop down screen at the top you can adjust the volume setting. Much better if you use Bluetooth hearing devices though. I’ve got no issues with watching Netflix or Amazon on mine.
