Bless you, Wes, for listening to your Lord. I am currently traveling with a friend who made the same decisions for the sake of his witness to his family. Thank you guys for being honest, something we need more of on social media.
God bless you, Wes. You are supported 1000%. Priorities are sometimes hard to align for some people. But with help from above, you can have such clarity.
Love the show guys. Will miss seeing Wes in front of the camera but glad he's still involved. Thanks for all the content I and others continue to enjoy. Best of luck to Wes with the new endeavors. Can't wait to check out your new podcast.
What freedom for you, Wes, and a great reminder for us. On an entirely different, random note, I'm a pastor. A major part of my job is public communication. And I have great appreciation for Wes' speaking voice.
Wes you're the man. Have loved having you in front of the camera and you will be deeply missed. Very happy to hear you'll still be involved and we may even hear you from behind the camera. Looking forward to the future.
Great to hear, Wes! As a fellow brother, I can empathize with your decision and hope for the best for you and your family. But also glad to know that we can still find you on your new podcast--will subscribe and look forward to it!
I certainly will miss that deep radio voice of Wes, but I am happy he is doing what is best for him. Randy, I am an Aggie so I LOVE your T shirt! Gig'em!!
Thank you for letting us know and giving Wes the shoutout for all his work. I haven’t been around the whole time, but he was part of the reason I started watching this channel. Aaron has been great too. Y’all handled all of this professionally. Thank you!
Wes, thanks for being genuine and good on you for following your convictions. Well done, brother. Randy, kudos for being classy, respectful, and for clearing the air. Keep up the good work gents. Still a fan of BRT.
I am in my sophomore year of my bourbon journey, I found this show about a year ago and have learned and enjoyed each and every show, learned a lot and you philosophy of your show is second to none, you will be missed
Congrats on your decision Wes. I wish you all the success! You know what is important in life and the community is lucky you will continue to be part of it!
I’ve worked in stores (8 years) and distributor side (12 years). I’ve always said to people, it’s ok to not drink and I’ll support you if you do OR don’t.
I really appreciate the clarity you both put out about the situation. I really liked Wes in front of the camera so he will be missed. I'm happy on all his future ventures
I keep going back and forth between completely sober and lightly drinking.. And I 💯 percent feel better being completely sober. Good luck Wes! Everything will improve
Thank you Wes for being open and transparent about this with all of us. We all support you and love the contributions you brought onscreen and the podcast.
For many years I've been making a practice of abstinence from alcohol during the time between Mardi Gras day and Easter Sunday (The Lenten Season). Some people refer to me as being nuts! However, I find this practice to not only be a spiritual fulfillment but, also a chance to reexamine myself in the realm of reality, and what I can do to make myself a better person. I applaud Wes's decision, and I hope that his decision will enable him to benefit greatly. With that being said, all of those samples that he's sharing with the community sure do look appealing! Now, I can't think of anything that will keep Easter Sunday from coming, and I wouldn't mind having any sample from any one of those offerings! Just the same, it's good to see someone stand up and share a bit of humility with everyone. It demonstrates a real character of a man! Great show as always! Don't be too much of a stranger Wes! Cheers!
When we're blessed with a call from the Lord, it's always a good idea to answer. I'm confident this will bear a lot of fruit in your life, Wes. God bless you, brother. 🙏
Congrats to you Wes, many people contemplate the decision you’ve made personally, but hesitate themselves. Your decision will encourage those who’ve struggled to follow through. God bless!
Thank you for your transparency, honesty and the way you’ve all discerned future directions with great integrity. Grateful for sharing the ways you are openly listening to Spirit. Walk in peace, and Go Frogs! ;-)
Best of luck Wes! Been pondering this decision myself! Much love, Only you control your life and what's best for it! Life's a journey! Live it as you and your loved ones see fit!
Ok, thanks for clarifying what was going on for Wes. I was wondering why his appearance was hit and miss lately. Glad to hear he will still be involved!
Respect your decision and support you 100% Wes. Will miss hearing that voice and seeing you on here but excited for the future of this partnership and glad you're still producing this fantastic content!
Great show today. I can relate to Wes, for sure. I’ve thought about quitting a few time. I see that if I don’t stay mindful, it can become a problem in the future. I’ve had too many alcoholics in my family, and don’t want to turn out like them. Good luck with your future endeavors, Wes.
We have spoken personally Wes, but want to say it publicly… Proud of you to make a personal decision like this and your proud stand of reason behind your decision.
Appreciate the honesty and am impressed by Wes’ will power to just hear the call and follow. I do feel that there can be subtle pressure within bourbon communities to have a pour or two beyond your normal comfort level. I tend to stay offline if I’m just not feeling bourbon/drinking on a particular night. Gotta take care of yourself first.
Bless you Wes for listening to the conviction that the Lord laid on your heart. Sometimes you do certain things for a season and the Lord will have you make changes for what He wants you to do next. I wish you well in your endeavors.
Humans just love wild theories, good to hear it was just a personal choice and as respectful adults we always wish friends the best. Wes will always be part of the family 😎💯
God bless Wes. Love you brother. I'm in that same process. I plan on still watching my favorite whiskey channels because I've learned to love the good people in them and find you guys entertaining.
Like Wes, I have given consideration to giving up drinking at some point. Not an alcoholic or having any issues. Just know it doesn't mean as much for me as it used to. That being said, I am not there for sure yet. Will take some time to continue thinking about it.
Good luck, I often am town in the same way because I’m heavily involved with my church, but I do not dl drink often, this is more about the hunt and collecting for me. Good luck!
Bless you, Wes, for listening to your Lord. I am currently traveling with a friend who made the same decisions for the sake of his witness to his family. Thank you guys for being honest, something we need more of on social media.
