I will be honest this episode’s conspiracy was by far the most interesting. Also Richard if you are going to be the grammar police on all the comments you may start to get less… just saying.
What's up boneheads ( not jen). Do a guy a favor and talk a little about the buick riviera. I have a 69 riviera with a 430-4 and th400 trans. I recently saw a post of the same car with Cadillac laurels around the R on the gas cap and in the interior. Apparently the car was from France. Any information on this would be great.
They actually built their own cab from start they did not transplant a cab from a piece of equipment the truck by the way is called TOPSY and it was built for off hwy use hauling logs in excess of 100,000 lbs it doesn't need to be pretty
I did know that they built their own cab, but unfortunately that slipped my mind during the podcast. If I recall correctly, it was inspired by construction equipment. I agree that it doesn’t need to be pretty. It’s a pretty awesome machine for its designed purpose. - Jason
They're not designing the e-axles. They're using e-axles from an established Chinese manufacturer that's been building them for years. They tried to source them domestically from Merritor but Cummins bought the company and refused to sell to them. Turns out, Merritors axles wouldn't have been heavy enough for the semi anyway, and they pretty much Chinese parts assembled in the U.S. Also the coolant to warm the batteries isn't heated by the generator while it's parked. They use a coolant heater to warm both the batteries and generator engine before you go to drive it.
Just wait till you get power trailers that hook up to the truck that's in the works for him
Nice! Have you seen the Pebble travel trailer? It has a built-in EV drive system to help with range and fuel economy. Pretty awesome! - Jason
