Jefferson Airplane completely changed the musical face of the '60s, and these rare photos give us a better sense of their limitless creativity. There is no doubt that they contributed greatly to the musical culture of that era!
"Somebody to Love" (originally titled "Someone to Love") is a rock song that was written by Darby Slick. It was originally recorded by the Great Society, and later by Jefferson Airplane. "White Rabbit" is a song written by Grace Slick and recorded by the Jefferson Airplane for their 1967 album Surrealistic Pillow. Mick Balin?
Nice try. Some glaring inaccuracies but nice try. Somebody to Love was written by Darby Slick. "Mick Balin" is pretty funny. Nobody seems to be able to pronounce Signe Anderson (Sig-Nee). As usual, the drug thing gets center stage while the artistry plays second fiddle. As Grace Slick once sang: "I never thought there were corners in time, til I was told to stand in one".
It also was a completely different song to the one of the same name later recorded by Queen, the cover of which hilariously appears in this vid when the JA song is first mentioned. Brilliant!
Oh, jeez! I watched a little further, and when "Somebody to Love" was mentioned, they showed Queen! I know I shouldn't be commenting; I'm feeding the algo...
This is clearly AI… also the thumbnail made me laugh out loud. Somebody to Love was written by Darby Slick. This was a very Grace-centric story which is what a lot of JA stories are about, but it fails to mention she was also struggling with alcoholism to a debilitating agree. Marty did not sue Grace, Paul did, and it was over the name and rights of the band when he left. It’s also notable that Grace and Paul had a relationship prior to the lawsuit. Just commenting this because I love Jefferson Airplane and I don’t want people to be mislead. Also :) Signe, Jack, Paul, Jorma, and Marty’s names were pronounced wrong at some point or another in this video lmao.
Isn’t there a story, when Grace Slick went to college with Tricia Nixon, she got invited to a White House function, and Grace thought about spiking the punch with LSD!👍👍

There were MANY mistakes in this narrative. Also Grace had small breasts so the fake picture shown at the end of the video is highly questionable.

So spot on! Many mistakes in this narrative and I question the topless photo at the end of the segment. Grace was small breasted.
La slick era una ragazza bellissima e gli airplane una super band di cui conservo tutta la discografia.
"Somebody To Love".......shows band Queen
This AI doesn't know how to pronounce names like "Signe" and "Jorma". ❤

Your research sucks. "Mick" Balin? "Classic lineup" that didn't include Spencer Dryden? Weak sauce.
