Man, the map looks amazing! Just a quick tip for coloring your resin pours: mix a separate, much smaller batch of resin, and apply the inks to that. That way, you can get the color you want first, and then you can slowly pour that onto your main mix to get the right opacity. If you apply too much pigment directly to your main mix, there's no way to take it back and you'll have to mix a new batch, so doing that can potentially save you a ton of resin. Also, wear nitrile gloves! You don't want any kind of resin on your skin. And wear a mask too, I'm pretty sure the reaction between the two parts releases toxic fumes to the air.
Cheers! Also Great notes! Still figuring out a lot with resin and most of my lessons are coming the hard way haha. I recently got a decent mask and a pack of gloves for this very reason! Definitely want to be on the safe side of chemicals. And keen to play with more resin pours

I know it’s not commonly known, but there was a British text adventure from the mid-‘80’s called “The Pawn” that came with a map of the land of Kerovnia. I alway thought it would be awesome to do a diorama based on that land.
Nice one. I already saw Scatterbrained's video few weeks ago but I really enjoy seeing someone else does this too! Maybe continue your map making journey and create a flat out of focused map of Hyrule's surface but to spice this up, recreate the Sky map as the interesting part of the map. Maybe not the entire map as the floating islands are quite small but the Great Sky Island could be interesting with the different heights of the islands and could be done in a smaller frame. Or the opposite and do a darker map type - the Depths!
Thankyou 😁 I always feel a bit weird copying someone else's build, but this one was too good to pass up, especially when a friend wants it so badly! Haha Me and my mate were talking about doing the set of all 3 maps at one point. Considering trying to use this main map as a mould to make the depths as they are a mirror of the main Hyrule map. But i realised the details were too small for a spray foam to work without pulling this original peice apart. But the sky maps are definitely something I've been thinking about, I love me some floating islands!
@@SebMakesStuff, I wouldn't say it's copying. You were asked, you delivered and in the between you did your own way to achieve it. I see it more like a chocolate cookie recipe. There are a lot of them online but a bunch of them are different. Plus you credited your own and your mate's inspiration.
I appreciate that. I'm a big fan of the many cakes theory. And will always give credit to my inspiration. And I love putting out more content for others to hopefully pass on a little inspiration of my own
Looks AMAZING. I watch another channel called North of The Border, and they used Static Grass for this same build. Maybe you could try that for another one. Also, are you going to 3D print the Divine Beasts and add them? I think it would add that extra layer of finesse.
Im a fan of North of the border, but I haven't seen his Hyrule build. I'll have to hunt for it. And yer I wanted to do the beasts but my 3d printer is currently out of order so I didn't manage to get them printed. But the mate this is going to is going to add the beasts and also wants to add little labels of locations. I'll have to put up an update when that all gets done
Yer I usually work at a bigger scale on smaller peices. Usually around the 28mm scale to work with DnD games. But this has been a fun divergence from the usual builds. I'm thinking of playing around with a heap of different scales for a while. See what sticks
Cheers. The scale for real sand would have been a bit too big I think, but some more details to the castle will definitely be something I add to my follow up video. Planning to do a part 2 with a lot more details

This is really cool Seb! Came out great. I'd love to see the Spirit Train from Spirit Tracks, but of course its just a suggestion 👍 Keep up the good work
Thanks. The original plan was to just be about the landmass, but everyone wants the details so I think there's gonna have to be a part 2 full of details
Cheers, it took 2-3 weeks of spare time. I didn't really tack the full hours out in. I kind of just came and went between other projects and when I had a couple of hours.
thanks, unforunately i messed up my original tracing of the map so i cut a large section off the bottom. and the right hand side so there are a few islands and areas missing.
Wow Thais is Amazing 😮❤ totally in Live With it❤ how Long did it take? I Wish you had add some little houses or the villages or the abyss ! that would be the top. But amazing job❤
Thanks 😁 It took a couple of weeks of my spare time. It could probably get knocked out in a week if you didn't have any other projects taking up your craft time. Most of the time is spent waiting for this gs to dry between stages. After all the attention this board has gotten I'll be doing a part 2 for sure adding in all the details and towns, gotta give the people what they want
Yer I originally planned to just do the landmass. But after all the comments wanting to see more details I'm planning to do a part 2 and add in a heap more to this map
Thanks, I'm not sure there would be alot I could do for most villages at this scale. They would kind of dissapear. But it does seem to be something about of people want to see.

Me and my mate were talking about doing the set of all 3 maps at one point.
This is stunning.
Thankyou kindly 😁
The map looks incredible!!! ❤😊❤
Thankyou kindly! 😊
@@SebMakesStuff you are welcome
simply AWESOME
thankyou 😁
Cool, now go for smaller dioramas with more details to practice various techniques and improove.
Yer I usually work at a bigger scale on smaller peices. Usually around the 28mm scale to work with DnD games. But this has been a fun divergence from the usual builds. I'm thinking of playing around with a heap of different scales for a while. See what sticks
This is amazingly awesome!!! I thought he was going to use real sand for the desert 🏜️ and some color to the castle roofing?
Cheers.
The scale for real sand would have been a bit too big I think, but some more details to the castle will definitely be something I add to my follow up video. Planning to do a part 2 with a lot more details
i feel bad just to see this much work with just getting 91 likes and a few comments and less than 1k veiws bro i swear u deserve more
Thankyou 😁 this is the fun of UA-cam. Just gotta wait for something to hit a good algarythm to get it out there haha. But in the mean time I just love making things and creating videos so I'm always appreciative of any and all views and comments.
I saw a beefy man and I subscribed
I’m weak-willed like that
Best comment I've received to date
@@SebMakesStuff fastest sub smash in the west
*blows on smoking gun barrel*
I’m a girlie who loves the beef
The stuff you make is cool, too - I guess…
Hey, as long as you enjoy something in the video
You should do one of how YOU think LoZ OOT Hyrule would look like
Oh yer I'm super keen to get into some old Gameboy maps. And this would be an awesome one, it's been so long since i played that game but I got nostalgic flashbacks just thinking about it
Very nice work dude! Look forward to more from ya
Thankyou kindly! Plenty more to come 😁
This is really cool Seb! Came out great. I'd love to see the Spirit Train from Spirit Tracks, but of course its just a suggestion 👍 Keep up the good work
Cheers mate. The spirit train is something Zelda that I had never heard of and after googling it....I kinda Wana make it now hahah
@@SebMakesStuff its a very unpopular zelda, so a lot of people haven't. One of my childhood favs tho lol
It's rare that a Zelda games goes under the radar. But I'll definitely be looking into it. If for no other reason than to see what I've missed
It looks amazing great video
Cheers! Was a lot of fun to put together
I love it but, where's Rito Village, Zora's domain and Gerudo town?
Thanks.
The original plan was to just be about the landmass, but everyone wants the details so I think there's gonna have to be a part 2 full of details
How long did this take? the detail is amazing by the way👍
Cheers, it took 2-3 weeks of spare time. I didn't really tack the full hours out in. I kind of just came and went between other projects and when I had a couple of hours.
You could probably smash one out in a few days, mostly just having to wait for things to dry
There's another Australian guy who looks identical to you, doing similar videos 😂😂😂
Haha are you talking about atmosseeker? Because we also have the same name haha
@@SebMakesStuff No! Haha. So there must be 3 of you. 😂
@SebMakesStuff the population of Australia is so small, I'd not be shocked if you all had the same great grandad 😆
I'll have to try and find this mystery doppelganger
I literally clicked this like “hey another hyrule build” and it’s a different blonde Australian 😭
Thank you recommend page!
Recommend page has my back with this one 😁
I will be honest. "Hyper Realistic Map" promised a lot more than you delivered.
🤷
I think this very good and deataly but where is the littel island jotwerde ?
thanks, unforunately i messed up my original tracing of the map so i cut a large section off the bottom. and the right hand side so there are a few islands and areas missing.
Wow Thais is Amazing 😮❤ totally in Live With it❤ how Long did it take? I Wish you had add some little houses or the villages or the abyss ! that would be the top. But amazing job❤
Thanks 😁
It took a couple of weeks of my spare time. It could probably get knocked out in a week if you didn't have any other projects taking up your craft time. Most of the time is spent waiting for this gs to dry between stages.
After all the attention this board has gotten I'll be doing a part 2 for sure adding in all the details and towns, gotta give the people what they want
@@SebMakesStuff I am so excited for the part 2 ! Keep up the good work ❤️
clear acrylic rod will help you create floating island
Oh yer, I've got some floating island builds coming up. Not for this but they could definitely be applied to this to make add some islands
Next time can you do the same thing but as TOTK. And if you could can you do the sky and depths?
I think I need to play TOTK before I can do that one justice
The only thing is swa that was missing was some of the ruins scattered thru out Hyrule
Yer I originally planned to just do the landmass. But after all the comments wanting to see more details I'm planning to do a part 2 and add in a heap more to this map
3:47 "the swirl around the beach area"
ah yes... that place.. i wish i could forget it
I remember getting to the end of it and being very disappointed in what I found there
Awesome!!!!
Cheers
メチャクチャ凄い😎
Thankyou kindly 😊
this is really good, but i think you should add the structures like zora domain, rito village, etc...
Thanks, I'm not sure there would be alot I could do for most villages at this scale. They would kind of dissapear. But it does seem to be something about of people want to see.
Wow 👍❤ Can you build a Tears of the kingdom 3D map of Zelda?
This one might take a bit more work, and I think I'll need to play TOTK first to do it justice. But it's definitely something I've considered
Amazing! I want one
Thankyou. All you need is a little bit of time and a pile of craft supplies haha
I feel like a foam cutter (heated wire) would have been way easier to use on this then an exacto knife.
Oh 100% it would have made it significantly easier. But I didn't think of that at the time haha
Please make an avatar map! That would be so cool!
100% on the list! I want that one up on my wall
@@SebMakesStuff yesss! I will be keeping an eye out for that video! I plan to get some avatar themed items for my wall but I might try to follow your video instead at some point.
16:42 if you wanna save from all mambo jambo
Mambo jumbo = the entire build
😀- Woah, this is really impressive!
🤔- I was wondering if you played BoTW; I could tell you weren't saying the names of notable locations...
(I'm not upset about that; Just something I noticed while watching!)
😲/🤨- I was like you missed a good portion of the map, but no worries; There's always a next time for improvements!
Cheers mate.
I did play it but it was a long while back and I don't remember half of the game anymore. I think I almost need a replay through before I jump into TOTK
I was mad that I missed the bottom of the map, but that's a lesson learned for the next one. To set up the layout better in the planning stage.
I was curius how to make the fying islands
I've got a floating islands video coming up actually. Not for this build, but the methods I use will be directly transferable. Once I play TOTK I might have to add some to this map
I still have nightmares from cutting foam core board in art class. I could never seem to get my knife through it.
Haha yer I went through a few fresh blades in this build. That seems to be the trick in my experience, a nice sharp blade
The music is great!! Who is?!
I get all my music from artlist.io
I'm not sure exactly which songs were used in this one. But if you're wanting to know a particular one I could probably track it down
Someone needs to get you a Cricut, man. Could've saved you soooooo much time.
Haha ohhhh yer! There are a lot of tools that could bring my hobbying into the next level. Just need to save up the money for them.
Am I supposed to be impressed? Yeah? Let's see you do Tears of the Kingdom's map.
🤷 you're welcome to feel however you like. This was just a fun craft project
i really want to see a really big one. like the size of one of those big train set tables
Wouldn't that be incredible!!! I wish I had the space to do something like that
it would be so cool. i always wished we had perfect little robots that would let you essentially play a video game, but on an actual diorama of sorts that generates the "level" itself in a set radius around the character. like a hologram but with actual material @@SebMakesStuff
This would be the coolest thing on the planet!!!! I can't wait for technology to catch up. It might actually be possible with AR technology already....hmmmm I might have to look into this
akkala citadel next?
Now this would be a pretty cool build. I'll be adding this to my list for sure
Gordon Ramsay, I didn't know you were a Zelda Fan
You should see the recipes I can throw together in game
btw ik its imposible but can u pls do one with more detail and make bigger.
what i meant by detail is town and villages like guredo town and rito village, kakariko, hateno.. etc and shrines and towers but with the right colors and put some guardians to make it look cool around the map pls.
thank u
Ohhhh I would love too! But I would need a full double garage to build something like this out haha. Maybe one day ill have a spare shed for something huge like that
Amazing work but you forgot Lurelin Village
I know, I missed a big chunk of the south because I wasn't paying enough attention when I did my original planning. It's the most frustrating part of the build for me by far
Beauty, but I miss a part in the south
Thankyou, and I agree missing out the south was a huge mistake. Making sure I get the full layout properly is Something I'll have to do better on future maps.
Aweosme. How about a map of Hogwarts grounds?
This would be a hard one, but also super fun. I actually have a friend who's planning a full hogwarts build soon. I think I'll have to feature that once it's done
