So glad you are able to help this lady in this moment of her life when she needs it. I have a family member with schizophrenia and it's a very tough thing to go through. Thank you for your kindness and compassion and I wish this lady well in her future
My hat is off to you!! I had 3 kids close together, hosted 4 foreign exchange students, helped my husband with his business, helped take care of his elderly parent, practically raised the kids on my own while he worked 15 hours a day to support us, and earned a master,'s degree.Whew! Then a few years later, my cancer treatments left me mostly homebound. @@Anthony-e4h1q
Hello ! I relate to your insights about cleaning chores that are overwhelming. I used to be a multitasking single mother of two. Since I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I had to adapt to my energy level. Now, I « multi steps » for one task. I hope my English is not too bad, I’m a French Canadian from Montreal… with ancestors from Scotland. ❤
I found out about your site from Mac from Midwest Majic cleaning. He is so right about your comments and how well you talk about those that you help. I'm so impressed about how you relate your stories that are personal but also relevent to so many others.
Stephanie your commentary was so lovely, open, fascinating, and full of fantastic insight, honesty and advice . Well done and look forward to more of you both to come - please keep the insights coming and thank you for all this.
You are ladies are a huge gift to this resident. I remember a conversation I had with one of my daughters years ago: she asked why I made my bed, etc. I told her that making the bed was a gift I gave myself..it looks neat and calms the room. She hasnt forgotten it. A clean/tidy home is a gift we give ourselves.🎉
I grew up in a house with an alcoholic father and a narcissist mother in denial of the actual situation. I became an obsessed cleaner from a young age. My room looked like it did not belong to the rest of the house. But what it gave me was control in some area of my life when I had no control anywhere else. I have continued my cleaning and decluttering ways. I enjoy it, it is peaceful and relaxing to be.
My childhood was the complete opposite when it came to the condition of our house. My step-father was a Vietnam era Marine and expected the house to be so clean we could eat off the floor. I remember having to be able to bounce a quarter off my bed spread at 5 years old. He would have us vacuum the CEILING to get the cobwebs off. It was an awful existence as a child. Being ripped out of bed at 6 am on a Saturday to clean the house. When I first moved out of my parents house and into my own I would allow dishes to pile up in the sink and rarely cleaned anything. I guess it was out of a sense of "it's my house it will look however I want it to". I'm 56 now and I can't stand a messy or dirty house. I'm not nearly as bad as my step father was but I think I've found a middle ground I can live with. Awesome job on this house ladies!!
I can't remember where I read this, it's been awhile, but someone said that they changed their mindset about cleaning by saying " I get to clean my house today," instead of " I have to clean my house today." That even having a safe, comfortable place to live is a privilege, and we should be glad and grateful for our good fortune. I don't know if that resonates with anyone else, but it really changed my outlook. You and Danielle are doing great things, I'm so glad to be a part of your community❤❤❤❤❤
My mother was always angry when she was cleaning, don’t know why, but it stayed with me and I have a very hard time doing it..But watching You, Mac, Barbie and Bonnie is starting to change that…It’s getting better and better and I can clean without feeling anxiety…THANK YOU ALL!❤❤
The courageous resident must be feeling so very blessed to have ya'll in her life. What an amazing gift you have given her. Stephanie & Danielle - YOU ROCK!
My grandmother was from Scotland and hearing your voice and accent has brought me so many sweet memories. She was such a sweet, loving woman. Thank you both, ladies, for the fine job you do.
OMG that's E X A C T L Y how I feel about Styrofoam! I've never met anyone else who felt that way! My entire family knows I can't touch it. Btw, you mentioned in an earlier video that some people don't like your accent. Your accent is gorgeous and I hope you never even try to change it!
Thank you Stephanie for your insightful commentary and for sharing some of your personal experience. I think what you and Danielle do is wonderful for those you help, and I'm also glad to know that it helps you, too. Hearing your words makes me feel more connected to you through your videos and I really appreciate that. Please keep it up! ❤
I love what you ladies are doing! This girl gained some fairy godmothers or aunties! I agree so much with what you said. I struggle with many diagnoses with mental health and one other thing I have found is to either bring something like a tablet with you to clean - I take my iPad wherever and then I am watching UA-cam and cleaning or being the cleaning to where I would be if I wasn’t cleaning - like bringing laundry to where I am watching tv. I left a marriage with a lot of emotional abuse and ended up watching all 63 episodes of Breaking Bad while sorting things to pack and move. Worked for me. Love your channel and hugs to the resident.
To the homeowner, I’m glad you reached out for help. It is a great place to start. I was in a bad place dealing with my mom in an assisted living, then transferring her to a nursing home. My perfect husband found a cleaning lady while I was away babysitting my grand dog and cats. He said I think you should call her. I did and we talked for quite a while along time. She has made such a difference in my life. Her very nice husband trims my yard and her son likes the cookies I send to him. It’s a win win for everyone. I am calmer and have time to sew for myself and charity. Keep going and thanks to Stephanie and Danielle!💙
She's so young and is only at the beginning of healing what sounds like a lot of wounds. I hope she gives herself some grace and knows that these things take time, healing is a life-long process.
You are doing wonderful and the format of your videos is perfect! I love your voiceovers, we can definitely relate to what you share! keep it up, sending love from the US! (also, the absolute courage of this client is amazing, sending her big hugs)
Prayers to the young lady you guys helped in this video. Hopefully she is on the rode to recovery to a full and wonderful life. So glad she asked for help and she knows there are thousands out here rooting for her.
Those silicone oven liners are a Godsend! Saves having to scrape the bottom - simply remove and wash in the sink - takes minutes rather than hours of scrubbing
Thank you for sharing your tips and what works for you to motivate the desire to clean! I understood all of them and have used most myself with good effect... Appreciate the video and see y'all are becoming better and better at production: good for you! Lovely to help without criticism and your hard work is a real gift to the recipient. bye
Thank you for this lovely video. Sometimes brain chemistry can be a very real barrier to motivation. Even with a real desire to do it, physically making it happen can be impossible if your brain chemistry is off.
I absolutely love that you talked about the self comparison you experienced together. I recently learned the term "swimming in the toilet of self comparison" and I can't love it more. It really captures this phenomenon we all do, and should all stop. Please be kind to yourselves, and keep in mind you are helping a person in need. That, it itself is incredible. And so anything and everything you do is super appreciated and is enough. Thanks for another great video, looking forward to seeing the rest of the series. Much love! 🧡
Yes! to the doing 3 things helpful hint 😊 I’ve done this one for years. Mine in the morning are 1) make the bed 2) clothes in hamper 3) wipe down bathroom vanity On the 15 minute timer, I used to do that one with my kids at night. They loved it 😂 like beat the clock to get the living room back to normal before they went for their baths.
You and Danielle did a fine job with that house and I bet the occupier shed tears of happiness when she saw the final result. For myself, a whole house clean in one go is too much, so I get energised by watching videos such as yours and do intermittent spurts of tidying up. At the end of the day I ask myself "what have I done today" and hopefully am pleased with the answer.
Amazing part 1 ! I found you through MWMC & Mack's s/o, a few weeks ago .. Tyfs!! Good to find another duo like others out there! Anxious to see the rest!! #survivors!! #dysfunction #abuse ❤🙏🙏❤😊
Oh wow Stephanie, you and Danielle did an amazing job in this video, you two got through so much. It was really interesting listening to you talk about motivation and associations with cleaning… I saw Mack’s video too and concur with what you both say - you speak very eloquently about it and you make a great deal of sense. The resident was very courageous to share her story and it is heartbreaking to hear such a young woman who has already suffered so much in her short life - I hope she gets the help she needs - you two have given her a wonderful gift. Looking forward to seeing the next instalment! ❤😘
I like that you state that the house's condition is real life. That is so true! Life can be SO hard and messy. We all do the best we know how to do, or that we can do. The fact this young woman asked for and is getting help is huge! She's very brave and I'm glad she allowed you to share her journey. She has a lot to look forward to now. With your help and this channel I know there's an army of caring hearts rooting for her.
I agree with the advice on motivation - I often empty the dishwasher while waiting for the kettle to boil for my morning cuppa - often that sets you up for the day and gets you in the right mindset
I’m glad she asked for help. I understand some of her pain as I have a similar past. To know she’s not alone. I love to clean, I always have. I find it therapeutical. Keeps my mind busy on the task at hand and the time flies by. I love watching Mack. He’s has a wealth of knowledge and he’s so silly. I have good day x
I love watching your videos, they are very uplifting. I am a long-term procrastinator, get easily overwhelmed, and also get very anxious when someone is coming to the house (I much prefer visiting people in their own homes). It has been a struggle to do things as and when they need to be done, but the idea you spoke about doing 3 things each day is a great one - I've been doing similar for a while now and it has helped a great deal. Not just getting jobs done and experiencing that fantastic sense of achievement but also feeling more in control of things.
Fun fact: for those wondering about the eggs, unwashed eggs have a protective coating called a cuticle that makes it safe not to refrigerate them for a period of time. The best rule of thumb is to store the eggs in the same environment you bought them in.
You did a wonderful job! I got a revelation while you were speaking. I think the reason you may clean others homes better than your own or clean your home when you have company coming may reflect how you feel about yourself. It’s like we can put ourselves in such a bad headspace sometimes…like other people are worthy but we aren’t. I started realizing that about myself when I hit my mid 40s. It’s helped me a lot. I thought it might help you too.
I've had that happen to me two right handed gloves. I was cleaning my best friends deceased moms boyfriends home back in February of 2024. We laughed so hard. We are actually going back to his home tomorrow, since he was recently hospitalized and needs some laundry and cleaning done to his home again. Love to hear that I'm not the only one with allergies, migraines and smooth moves like wrong gloves. Lol
VERY good video. Camera angles much improved. I could hear you so much better. And I loved the verbal content. Mack from Midwest Magic Cleaning sure does know what he's talking about. Thanks for a great video .
I completely understand where you are coning from regarding polystyreen foam and the terrible noise and texture it has. It gives me the heebie jeebies also!!!
You have blessed this homeowner, and the viewers, with this amazing cleaning. I hope this young lady gets to the place she wants to be..I wish you the very best.
I just had an aha moment when you said that you have to eat and you enjoy that. And after the thing is clean I enjoy it. It should never be associated as a bad thing. Just something to do cause it needs to be done. Instead of waiting all week and doing it all in one day. I was raised that cleaning was done on Saturday.
I wish only the best for this young girl at 22 she is still a child to me. Life is hard enough without such severe trauma having happened. She is stronger than she know!
Thank you both for helping out this young lady. I enjoy watching cleaning videos. I also watch Midwest Magic Cleaning, a beautiful mess, and cleaning with Barbie.
Thank you for sharing her story. Heartbreaking for what she experienced, and the outcome it has left her. The beauty of her rising above, getting help, and then you are there to be part of the process, is absolutely beautiful 🥰. Thank you for being you 🥰
So kind of you to help this person. I live in Scotland, and as a Midwest follower, and watch cleaning/decluttering videos for relaxation - and motivation. A lot of your thoughts about your methodology and cleaning experiences are very common to ADHD. Motivation, texture/sound sensitivities, decision paralysis, body doubling etc, look into this, it might be helpful. ❤
That’s exactly how I have to do my chores. My shortness of breath with mild copd causes me to need to take many breaks. My back n legs also. I’m 61 thanks for sharing your msg. 😊
:D Eek! Garbage pictures! Love them! :D Sensory things can be hard, but very glad that you have ways to avoid the dreaded noises of nauseating discomfort! So happy that this resident has reached out for help. Wishing her the best on her road to recovery!
Bless her heart I'm so pleased to hear she's getting the help she needs. She has a lovely home from what we've seen so far and it will be a nice day fresh start for her. Hopefully she can manage to keep on top of it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be at home if it makes you feel safe and it will feel so much better if it's not filled with washing up and bin bags. Looking forward to the next one and I hope the lady enjoys what you've done so far 😊
So sorry to hear this young woman’s story - as I have said previously I work for NHS GG&C - sadly there are so many people suffering with poor mental health as I have seen in my job. I hope this young woman gets help that works for her. We are so fortunate to have our wonderful nhs but it really needs proper funding badly.
So nice of you to share things about yourself. You did a great job, I am sure the homeowner is very pleased. Keep up the good work.

That’s exactly how I have to do my chores. My shortness of breath with mild copd causes me to need to take many breaks. My back n legs also. I’m 61 thanks for sharing your msg. 😊
Powerful job girls. Very good narration👏👏👏👏❤️❤️
:D Eek! Garbage pictures! Love them! :D
Sensory things can be hard, but very glad that you have ways to avoid the dreaded noises of nauseating discomfort!
Looking forward to the next one and I hope the lady enjoys what you've done so far 😊
thank you ladies for your video and your good hearts to help others out who cannot help themsleves.
God bless. i love what mac said too
Poor lady has so much street noise. It sounds like she is next to a nascar track. As always you ladies did an amazing job. Such a cute house.
Prayers for this lady! ❤❤❤
I thought your advice was great! And the work you did for this homeowner was very good! I'm loving your channel!

❤ WATching from Philippones ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing what was comfortable about yourself. It made me feel like maybe I'm not the only one, as I mostly do.
