  • Virtual walk in the palace park. Adding captions with anecdotes found on wiki. This is the description found on the palace website:
Tullgarn, near Trosa in Södermanland, is one of our most popular royal destinations and is less than an hour away from Stockholm by car. Tullgarn Palace was the summer palace of King Gustaf V and Queen Viktoria. The palace park has avenues of lime trees, and makes a delightful spot for a picnic.
This royal summer palace - just an hour car journey from Stockholm - offers visitors a solace for the body and soul.
Behind the austere façade is a surprisingly light interior in a mixture of rococo, Gustavian and Victorian styles.
Tullgarn is associated with King Gustaf V and Queen Viktoria, who spend their summers here at the end of the 1800s and beginning of the 1900s. However, the palace was originally built for Duke Fredrik Adolf in the 1770s.
Admire the Duke's interior design, one of Sweden's finest. Rest for a moment in the courtyard and breath in the fresh lake winds. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the café. Or have a relaxing picnic in the apple grove. Tullgarn is well-worth a visit.
