My uncle was Concorde Captain flying in the 1980s. I saw him years ago before he died. He said "Now I watch them flying up there in the sky and it all seems like a dream." Anyway, I've downloaded it and it's ready for me to hit the Start a new flight button. I feel a bit nervous! Will be so great to see what he did.
29:11 could be wrong but I’m fairly certain “Engine 4 TO Limiter- 88%” means you check that the switch on the engineers panel under recirc valves is set to 88%. Nothing to do with the little flap showing 4 instead of 3.
Already seen somthing I missed. The engines need to be in Flyover rating before takeoff and go to normal at 50,000ft The dial in on engineers panel top left. It has flyover, normal and approach settings
Hello, thanks for the tutorial, it really helped me learn the aircraft 👍 For the landing speed tho, do I have to follow the green needle on the speedometer?
I don’t recall which video it was that was a cacophony of sound, but THIS is a great tutorial! I much prefer being able to use the Phillips CIVA but we can’t have everything, right? Have you done a video tutorial about position reports and what is needed? Actually, it may be in this one and I’ve not come across it get. My goal is to fly this transatlantic on VATSIM sometime soon. Thank you for this! ❤
There is no need to DME Update the INS correct i always screwed up my entire flight because of that. (Phillp's CIVA Payware INS required you to do that)
Prefers the colimata concorde over the JF one as its more realistic, but the engine is way too powerful in my POV. In supercruise it can easily shot up to 2.05 at full throttle settings at 55000 to 58000 so I had to manually control the throttle to keep it within 2.02
Good question. When flying the V3 in xp12 I very much get the feeling of being in msfs and yet the systems especially in Concorde are so detailed and feel more accurate. I have all 3 sims and I find that I leak towards Xp11 the most, Msfs has a clunky interface that I just can't get round, xp12 feels quite unstable and V3 as good as it is feels a bit more game like compared to V2. Just my thoughts what about yoh5
@@pillow-pilot you will get used to the interface, maybe what you don't like is the camera system etc.. What if I told you, it can be the same as xplane, you would probably like it better.
@@DeKarle1992 Im not OCD by any stretch, yet the DC Designs Concorde is an insult to an iconic aircraft, its a scruffy, moth eaten disgrace, i wouldn't want it if it were FREE... and iti is of course. Am buying the Colimata Concorde V3 for XP12, its gorgeous and heavily detailed, wonderful example.
Not sure if you'll see this, but how did you calculate your Top of Descent? Standard formula of Cruise - Destination Alt / 1.000 X 3 or is there someplace in this aircraft that'll tell you? That's really all that's holding me back on this plane. Thank you so much!
Hello, good question. The rough rule is begin at 200 miles/220 miles out. It's really a judgment call and so I haven't seen a calculation for it before. Hope that helps
Can't get authrottle, autopilot, or flight directors to work. Followed this vid step by step and been through the manual about a dozen times now and cant find the issue. The autothrottle light just blinks, but the autopilot light does stay solid when i flip it on, just doesn't actually have any control inputs
Watching your videos and finding them extremely helpful. Can I ask, does Concorde have windscreen wipers, silly question maybe? If so, where can I find the switch?
Thankyou very much. Yes it does have windscreen wipers. I think they are on the pedestal to the right of the pilot - I know it has them but can't remember, maybe have a search above pilots head and on pedestal - hope that helps 👍
that can be because you have missed somthing previously, but may be a simple error sometimes - maybe try to reload the sim?

Thanks for the video! How do you make this flight plan work on Vatsim if some of the waypoints are no longer part of the AIRAC cycle? Will the controllers still accept the plan? For example, simbrief calls out: Fix or airway "MALBY" not found. Fix or airway "KESUP" not found. Fix or airway "MERLY" not found.
Yeah, on the SImbrief airac you can select older ones and then it should find the waypoints. With Vatsim,.for the Concorde they accept the older waypoints because it was Concordes route and so they make an acception 👍 Hope that helps

Awesome video tutorial. I just got this plane a couple of days and it’s kicking my butt.

Wonderfully done Mate... Cheers!
Excellent canarsie approach !!!👍👍👍

Yeah so the green is for your approach speed and then yellow is touchdown speed. Red being a low landing speed 👍
@@pillow-pilot thanks...well I always pitch up too much after passing like 50 feet and stall out 😭
Btw you mold have flown an arrival into jfk… unless it specifies that it is rnav1 you can just fly the vors…

The toilet flush sounds like a 1930 ford starting.
Silly question, but why input CPT VOR into INS out of London when you can tune the radio and navigate using HSI?
No, good point. By inputting CPT I then have a route between CPT and waypoint 2 that fits with ATC routing. However, it also means I can work easier😁
