Any sound damping is better than nothing at all! I have not used any Killmat so I have no insight to that, but I’m sure it’s sinusoid to everyone else’s product. Thank you! It sounds like your system has a lot to it, not everyone wants to tackle things that large or do a system outside of what they normal do. We are open to all kinds of audio installations. Our consultation will dictate if we recommend any changes to what you have or to your system design / lay out. There is a lot on your list so it will be very hard to accurately give any exact numbers. The best thing to do is when you have everything 100% contact us to set up a consultation time. During this consultation we will have you bring the vehicle with all of your equipment and discuss what you have already done / what else needs to be done. From there we can compile all of the information, formulate a game plan, and when we have created a “guesstimate” for your installation we will email it to you to go over. Once you have reviewed the “guesstimate” we can discuss the next steps to start the process.
Absolutely! There different types of materials and thickness of various materials. Determining what is causing the creak you hear is what will determine what materials and how much of it you need.
@@sorealsoundsit’s mostly where the plastic welded parts are. Especially the trim piece around the grab handle. I was going to remove the welds and glue the pieces together or cover the joints in fiberglass then add sound deadening material. Thoughts?
@@89vette1 I would not remove the plastic welds. Leave them in so you have more meet from the plastic stud to grab on to if you decide to put fiberglass over the weld points. Fiberglass and sound damping will definitely help, how much you have to do for your specific issue will be determined after you have done each step. You may need multiple layers of sound damping at certain points of the structure. Or you may need some of Hushmat’s Silencer Megabond to create a cushion for where the panels make contact with each other.
@@sorealsounds Thank you sir! About 17 years ago I had an H2 and applied super glue around all the overlapped plastic spot welded areas and it eliminated the creaks/squeaks around the grab handle and the where the window control module fits in. I just bought another one and I plan on gluing the overlapped areas and applying fiberglass over the welds/overlaps and then applying some good sound deadening material.

Does this help with door panel creaks? The H2’s have junky panels
