Could somebody please provide English translation for these lyrics? As a Finnish speaker I can guess the meaning of some of these Estonian lyrics but not all.
Bit late but here ya go brother Marsh - A towy shirted slave ran to my beach in trouble Open secret paths carried him over the bogs On the island of my heart, a hut was built from a weakly birch tree With two stones a copper chain was broken I'm the marsh, dancing together. I'm the marsh, dancing together.
Bangs and screams have been heard by my always open ears. How they've called out for help and how the murders have been committed. The pursuers have been left into my black depths. There they will be waiting for eternity with open eyes.
I'm the marsh, dancing together. I'm the marsh, dancing together.
A forest too small can not hide men, Too little power changes nothing in this world. Everyone one who remained in me will never be buried, But many of the victims escaped behind my bogs. I'm the marsh, dancing together. I'm the marsh, dancing together. I’m the marsh, dancing together.
@@trevor4788 Thank you very much! I have heard a Finnish version of this song and was interested if the lyrics are same in Finnish and Estonian. It seems the Finnish translation is almost identical to original Estonian one
If you are interested, this is my translation of the Finnish version to English: ua-cam.com/video/tUljEDLk4KI/v-deo.html Marsh A slave in his ragged clothes ran distressed to my beach My secret paths will carry him over the bog holes In the island, in my heart he got a shelter made out of peat With my stones, he broke his chains made of copper in front of his pursuer I am marsh, dance your way to my side My open ears have heard the rapings, killings and murders And how have yelled for help those unnecessary victims of wars The pursuers still stay in my black depths And there with their open eyes they stare into eternity I am marsh, dance your way to my side I am marsh, dance your way to my side If there is no marsh in Finland or stubborn trees in the forests If a nation doesn't trust itself it will never change a world Of those I took in my arms not everyone will end up in a blessed land But many innocent ones were resqued behind the bog holes I am marsh, dance your way to my side I am marsh, dance your way to my side
@M He kinda explained it at the start that the song's about a place where Estonians always have been able to go to through the ages whenever trouble came to their home

Marsh -
A towy shirted slave ran to my beach in trouble
Open secret paths carried him over the bogs
On the island of my heart, a hut was built from a weakly birch tree
With two stones a copper chain was broken
I'm the marsh, dancing together.
I'm the marsh, dancing together.
Bangs and screams have been heard by my always open ears.
How they've called out for help and how the murders have been committed.
The pursuers have been left into my black depths.
There they will be waiting for eternity with open eyes.

Marsh
A slave in his ragged clothes
ran distressed to my beach
My secret paths will carry
him over the bog holes
In the island, in my heart
he got a shelter made out of peat
With my stones, he broke his chains made of copper
in front of his pursuer
I am marsh, dance your way to my side
My open ears have heard
the rapings, killings and murders
And how have yelled for help
those unnecessary victims of wars
The pursuers still stay in my black depths
And there with their open eyes
they stare into eternity
I am marsh, dance your way to my side
I am marsh, dance your way to my side
If there is no marsh in Finland
or stubborn trees in the forests
If a nation doesn't trust itself
it will never change a world
Of those I took in my arms
not everyone will end up in a blessed land
But many innocent ones
were resqued behind the bog holes
I am marsh, dance your way to my side
I am marsh, dance your way to my side
