to me, it makes sense that he felt overpowered by noa. so he wants to prove that someone like isagi....who has inferior physique can beat a genius like noa and rin
Hmmmm, I hear it but that would mean he doesn't truly know how to be the best, which kinda contradicts how he's set up, but maybe that will be apart of the ending (I.e isagi surpassing ego by finding the piece ego didn't)
I don’t think he felt overpowered by Noel Noah. Like Noel Noah said they were rivals and similar to Rin and Isagi. Genius vs Talented learner. He probably didn’t play for Japan or probably tired of Japan and move out and came back similar to Sae but with a new flame to create the world’s best. He picked Isagi because he saw his ego and potential being held back by Japan’s philosophy. Im pretty sure Isagi was a beast when he was little
@@2PipGang That doesn't really contradict anything. Not being able to do it does not necessarily mean you don't know HOW it can be done for one. Secondly, Ego didn't even know how to win the U-20 match, Isagi had to come to the sidelines and call him a shitty four eyes and tell him to make them win. I'm pretty sure they are foreshadowing Isagi surpassing Ego right then and there. Isagi at that point had already surpassed the hunger that Ego had meant to instill in these kids. His whole thing as a MC is finding the missing piece, you know, the whole puzzle thing.
Gotta comment because you said something no one is saying, someone crushed sae's ego and he has to be a u-20 striker! Im waiting to learn about that character who reigns the top team in BL's world
I don’t think he has a secret apprentice rather he was indirectly choosing an apprentice, isagi, as almost every scene of ego is him watching over isagi and his growth. As for why I think the people gave him the funds for blue lock it was most likely because he was on par with noa but didn’t have the same popularity as the other strikers considering noa himself acknowledges ego himself. Just my opinion tho.
Imagine having a NG defender who can see people's auras, eyes etc. I mean there is a reflex-eye (black with orange pupil) which activates and disappears in an instant allowing players perform plays purely on reflexes. And this guy sees and shuts it right away, or he sees that someone is having backstory played out so he switches his focus to locking that person
I'm sure the injury thing was somewhat hinted when Anri pointed out that all he eats is instant ramen and he said he used to only eat healthy prior to retiring from an injury Maybe it was said Maybe I imagined it
The biggest theory that I have so far about Ego is as follows (manga spoilers): Ego and Noa were somehow on the same team at some point. Whoever their coach is ended up using Ego to strengthen Noa and once the Coach used Ego to make Noa a better player he pretty much threw Ego away and kind of neglected him. Im guessing Ego had a good relationship with the Coach and Noa but then after realizing he was only being used as a stepping stool to further Noa, he got fed up with Soccer and left before making a real name with himself. I think this could also explain the budget he received to start blue lock since obviously if you were someone who consistently played with the current number 1 striker (Noa) then a lot of investors would be fine with putting in money. Im pretty sure Ego see's himself in Isagi and see's Noa in Kaiser, so it's kind of like a parallel rn in the NEL arc.
U might be cooking, but the only problem I have with this is, I assume ego is atleast as good as isagi is rn, (since he's speaking as if he personally knows what isagi is going through), and I think the coach neglecting a player as good as that is kinda wild and even if he did I don't think ego would just quit cause of it,
Maybe the falling out would be that ego wants someone who only lives for the sake of his own goals, but this character lives for his entertainment and doesn't care about winning
@2PipGang but it would mean ego went wrong the first time. Also I don't think he would need to 'defeat' or 'prove' said player wrong, Ego would get ur right the first time.
My guess for the secret apprentice is, his role is a winger and can do any nasty pass like a bicycle kick pass, 100% perfect curve shot with crazy accuracy. His ego will only show when he gets flipped off and that will make him go rogue and be unpredictable. Im thinking his egoist aura will be somewhat related to logic(maybe related angles or smth like that).
As much as I like the theory, it's hype for sure, but it doesn't really makes sense despite all of your reasons. We've already seen the pinnacle of the world's best players basically, the masters strikers and the world five are likely the top ten strongest characters in the show, and we've seen BL characters play amongst them and even beat them in certain plays and matches. Again, peak theory and it's always something exciting to think about but come on, some random guy no one has heard of suddenly comes in and is so much more vastly superior to the other NG 11 players that he just dominates Isagi or even makes him feel helpless? He's only felt helpless against Loki who is literally the prodigy of prodigies. It just wouldn't make sense to bring in some new character that magical comes along and cooks half the shows characters.
Fairs, the way Interpret it is that, yes we have seen alot of world class player (including the objective top 4) I think the world is so big there's no way we've seen all the heavy hitters, and also I think for story purposes we need atleast one more very good striker for the u20 world cup to face against, and lastly its not that he will be wayyy better than isagi its more like its his natural enemy (due to his lack of reason), appreciate your comment though, I hear it
@2PipGang Ah I see, I see, okay maybe I misinterpreted what you said. I agree that it would be hype for the story if Isagi adds another rival to his books but damn. Rin, Kaiser, Loki, even Noa now 😅
@2PipGang And yeah for sure, there might be another really talented player that gives our boys trouble, but again it's a stretch to assume they'll be that much better than anyone else in the world. Especially given who we've already been introduced to.
@2PipGang but I like the idea of having Isagi go up against someone who mirrors his mind state but is slightly better than him technically. Would force him to evolve even further.
@2PipGang He only thought of Kaiser as a genius and when he realized they were talented learners he decided to team up, Isagi didn't really feel what he would feel against a talented learner since he didn't know Kaiser was a talented learner.
2PipGang try to mention how mid the blue lock anime is challenge impossible, anyways ego is a very interesting character for real! Very intrigued too see how oda writes his back story!😮😅
@2PipGang SOLID VIDEO btw !!!; Also I have noticed that they didn't even introduce players like Jin and Nishioka even in the background crowd of the selections(Anime) Also I would like to know what would you think if we had gotten/get a flippin Movie about the ~LOCKED AWAY: WILD CARD We could have seen how the wild card works etc which would have given countless theories to Kira returning... Spoilers for non manga readers: It’s stated in the manga he has the same eye disease as Yukimiya. That’s why ego couldn’t continue playing, his quote on quote injury.
Closest thing to a secret apprentice of ego is (spoiler):
Kunigami during the wildcard project.
to me, it makes sense that he felt overpowered by noa. so he wants to prove that someone like isagi....who has inferior physique can beat a genius like noa and rin

Thiis theory is actually peak
it works so well with the story direction and its unpredictable enough
You my man have cooked
I really like the idea of changing the playing style of every team he faces.

I meannnn he can have 2 apprentices no?
Hmmm idk about them giving him all that cause he was noa's rival years ago, I hear it tho

😂😂😂
“The evolution eater”
@@storywhatifs that's why he hasn't been introduced yet, otherwise he would have eaten the entire blue lock. 😅

@@liamcadle5283 You literally just described Rin
You so right idk how anime only still exists
A true mystery
For me, I would like if this player is someone like Isagi. Talented learner Vs Talented learner is something never shown yet.
Kaiser?

0:13 🤓
Ego was also once Noa rival
I always wanted Kaiser to be the reason why Sae lost his ego
Hmmmm, I wouldn't mind that but I feel they would have mentioned it
Idk about the rest but where th is Amori's Messi ? (Nishioka i suppose)
That boi be injured for the whole Neo-League time?
I dont even know, I think kaneshiro was just playing a prank on us,
