When I was very young, I wanted to watch this movie during a trip to LA with my parents before going to Universal Studios. The funny thing is, while I did like the movie as a kid since I was very young at the time, my parents fell asleep throughout the entire movie. Looking back, I don’t blame them in the slightest.
I rate it a 4/10.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, this is when the Minions became those annoying cash-grab characters instead of the genuinely entertaining characters they were in the first two Despicable Me movies.
And Scarlett Overkill was a bland and uninteresting villain in my opinion. Nowhere near as entertaining as Vector or El Macho.
This film only existed just to cash on a trend since I do remember the minons being a massive trend and meme back then.
I only remember seeing half of this film when my school played on the day of the Christmas party which I walked out on because of how ridiculous it was.
edmondx: "My god. Why do we always watch the stupidest movies?"
Dad: "THEY ARE NOT STUPID!!"
edmondx: "Hehe. Yes they-"
Background: "Shut up!"
edmondx: "No. At least movies are stupid like, who actually want to- Whoa! G-G-G-G, GYAAAATT!!!!!!"
Dad: "SHUT UP!!!!!!"
edmondx: "Whoa!"
Dad: "STOP IT!"
edmondx: "Haha! Stop what? I simply just forGYAT how much I loved this movie."
Dad: "YOU ARE GROUNDED!!!!!"
edmondx: "What? No!"
I give it a 5/10 I used to like it when I was a kid but nowadays I’m not a fan of it
I too used to enjoy when I first watch it back when it came out in theaters, but now, I just don't like it anymore.
I remember seeing the movie for the first time, and I thought it was good. But then after watching it like so many times, I realized this was a wasted prequel. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I do think the concept of a prequel that shows us the origins of where the minions came from is interesting, but this movie executed it poorly. The villains weren’t that great either. I do like how the animation is improved over the previous films, but that doesn’t excuse how this movie as a prequel feels just flat, and has a wasted amount of potential. So I give it a 5/10.
I like Minions
I did not see it in 2015. I was waiting for Ant-Man coming out.
