You are a warrior lady 24 miles! You were blessed with some great temps and beautiful views!! You deserve double 0's enjoy and look forward to seeing more of your journey! Happy trails
I've really enjoyed following your channel and specifically this thru hike. You are positive and provide amazing knowledge. I've also enjoyed your explaining your decision making.
Wow! Polished off the aqua deft pretty handily! Great episode! I love the bird ids. I’m following Rntul and Unicorn on the AT this year and he is doing that too but mostly getting their calls as they are not as visible in the forest but very vocal. Love getting all this added knowledge as I am a real birdwatcher too. Also cool that I’m getting the eastern and western bird by watching both your channels! Love it!
Well done! Eventually the trail will be realigned so that it loops around through the Tehachapi Mountains and then swings north to Tehachapi, keeping the entire route in the mountains. That will all depend on how "quickly" the details can be worked out with Tejon Ranch, but once accomplished, the Mojave crossing will be eliminated. Here's hoping! Great progress! Be safe; keep at it!
@@garylines5755 I've been hearing that since the mid-1970s. I'm not holding my breath, but ... here's hoping. Things have changed over the years. The current alignment of the Mojave traverse is actually shorter than it used to be.
You are really cranking up the trail now, fantastic mileage days getting through such a dry, hot section. I hope you enjoyed the time off to recover and I'm looking forward to your hike into KMS!
How nice you treated yourself to the comforts of a nice hotel...after that long section you sure deserve it....Thank you Tracy...I loved the music in this one
My wife and I just did a California trip and went right through Tehachapi and stopped at the Walmart! We looked for the PCT but couldn’t find it. What a beautiful area.
Way to power through that long, hot, dry section!! It's such fun to watch your strength, endurance, and self-confidence develop and how they are carrying you farther than ever before! Thanks for the scenery and nature ID! Also love the accompanying music. Go, go Condor!!
You really crushed the aqueduct section. Good for you! You def earned a zero. Double zero is double the rest and recoup you need cuz town chores take up a lot of time. You are really crushing the PCT this year. Good for you!
OMG. Both times I went through that section, there was no water in the creek under that bridge. A Mojave green? That is a rare sighting. They are more aggressive than our more common rattlesnakes. Glad you just hunkered down in a great spot.
It’s pretty mind blowing to look back and see where you’ve come from , what an accomplishment. Love the sunrise behind the Joshua trees and the rattlesnake (looks like he had just feasted on something). Enjoy your well deserved break and carry on on your amazing journey. 🙏🏻🥰
This stretch was my longest hike ever at 32 miles starting at 4:30am hiking 15 hours. There was no water in the creek for me so I carried 6.5 liters but only two days of food. Not much elevation gain but I had a head wind all day.
I mix it with water on the trail. I think it's worth the peace of mind getting in the added nutrients. I do feel good drinking it every day. It's easy on my stomach too. It doesn't shake/blend great by hand and can be a bit chunky 😂 It is great in a blender at home with ice and other things...milk, nut milks, fruits, etc. Way better that way. On the trail it's just for the nutrients. I don't regret paying for it at all.
It's just attached in 3 spots along my shoulder strap. Zpacks has a clip holder for this purpose that may work just as well. For the bottom, I use the elastic strap on the umbrella handle and wrap around the strap and handle then cinch it tight. the middle is an all-purpose loop with a cinch tight clasp that goes around the pole, the top is my bandana because it holds really well and I can easily adjust the umbrella height with that high up on the shoulder strap. Hope this isn't confusing.
I wouldn't camp there if there was rain in the forecast. It was extremely dry through this section at that time of the year so yes, it felt safe. You just need to pay attention to everything. I ALWAYS check the forecast.
@@TikiBirdTracy That's the thing, though, Tracy, it might have been raining upstream, so the risk isn't worth it. And we all know how unreliable forecasts can be. Still, glad nothing bad came of it.
You should be very proud of yourself! Great job on 24 miles! You are killing it!
Great accomplishment. Hoping you are getting more and more miles under you!
Great job! Clearly, you’re getting stronger. You should be proud of yourself! Can’t wait for the next section. Be safe.

Thanks for another inspiring video.
Great hiking through this section. You are still giving a great video of this section. Don't overdo it. Take care of that finger. Keep trekking. 😊

I'm caught up! I want to say congratulations on 500 and 555! I'm so proud of you and you look so happy reporting your accomplishments ❤❤

Nice work, Condor, you got this!
You are amazing!
You are doing so great! I’m really enjoying your videos and the scenery and wildlife.

Great job! 🥾😎☮️
Good job …. This is your year🤙

Nicely done. Enjoying your videos. We frequently stay in Tehachapi, and glad you made it to the hotel safely.
I’m all caught up and can’t wait to see the next steps for you. Hope you’re doing well and are safe and injury free!
I know it’s extra weight, but through those exposed desert areas, those umbrellas are a life saver.
Umbrella = lifesavers

Great job, and 6.5 L is tough!! The constant wind is exhausting too.
Thank you for the Bird IDs. Super greatly appreciated. Wonder why nobody stays, anymore, in the little town of Mojave, also on hiway 58??
Your food actually looks healthier than a lot of thru hikers!
I should have made a separate video to go over it all. I'll do that in the future.
From a fellow Texan…those 80 temps sound heaven compared to the 100+ we have now. 😂
I'm not missing the heat in Texas right now 🥵
Cyber TM. Support the youth with thier Dream endeavors, as long it's not K2!
Thank you so much!!! This is so appreciated. As usual, I will put it to good use 🙏🙏💕💕🤗
Tehachapi is my town. Stop off at res house for some food and a teepee
Kicking ass! So what do you mix the kachava protein with?? Do you feel like it’s worth the $$$$?

Will you come back and do the Sierra section of the PCT!? Once the snow has settled a bit more! Just curious!
Can you show me how do you hold the umbrella.?

@@TikiBirdTracy thank you good luck.
I'm trying to get over plantar fasciitis, do you stretch every day? I can't imagine walking as long as you. Stay loose!
Yes, multiple times a day.
Was that campsite at 14:10 safe? I get that nothing happened to you, but it looks dangerous with respect to flash flooding.

Yes, I do know all that, but thanks. Risk assessment is a constant on the trail and one I've been pretty good at in career and life 😊
