It's the matching of the people and the environments, the style among the structures. You move with them. Their words, and the texture of their character through them doing a creative thing. The dance. Visually, it's a journey. I see the growth, cinematographically speaking. the Liq #yakfilms It's an excellent work, just amazing, all the time you all must have spent. But it's not regretted as we live this, the video capture life, the "kicking it real tough/deep and getting real about this cultural thing we're a part of" capture. the tuttssss.... That's why BART is so symbolic to me. I've been on that tip! We all know it at some point. Bigups
Thanks for the high quality documentary of those awesome dancers. As a videomaker of dance stuff myself, I really appreciate the cinematic touch to it!
To just see a positive culture coming from a city of so much hate and murder make a nigga wanna cry....#REALOAKLAND REALOAKLAND....tappin in from 80th and holly to 35th and Lyon ave
Interesting clip, well produced and enjoyable to see. I am not sure about the origination of your dancing. I see you have the abstract science of poplocking, liquid and flow, but I myself plus many many more have been doing dance like that since the mid 90s and the original styles of this type of dance originated well before I began to express it artistically. Still, nice clip and all. Good luck with your dancing experiences, I have always enjoyed dancing and can still rip most anyone i meet.
Turfing started around the same time as popping, locking, boogaloo which all originated in the bay area. so yeah not a coincidence that this dance incorporates those styles as well.
Hi guys ! I really enjoy your creation from the beginning. Thank you for turf ! I’ll dance one day as you dance, but need to work and trust too :) Could you tell me how can I find the sound we listen between 00:30 and 1:15 ?
That's where I was born and my initials are C.A I'm not kidding and yes I know how to turf want to let everyone know some people know how to dance others are born too
