"Hi, my name is Giant Grant Games and today we're seeing if you can beat the entirety of the *lookes at notebook* Korean pro scene... with marines only"
In that last game, the odd drone movement at the start was probably doing a quick scout for an in-base proxy. Technically Byun could have an unseen SCV there building a barracks.
Byun doing my build/strat with fewer rax. I feel honored, 3 rax + 2 rax + orbital + 1 rax or bunker depending on race, 1 base all in is extremely efficient and devastating.
Some series do feel like they're just messing around There was one series on pre ghost nerf Oceanborne where clem(or gumiho) vs Rogue/Dark just turtles up instead of moving out. He made a very pretty fort though, using a lot of engie bays. I cant remember who was playing but it was definitely a welcome change to the nonstop ghost lib comps at the time that made spectating TvZ very stale for a few months
Some of the Korean: 또 = "also" 노가스 3햇 = literally transliterated: "no gaseu 3 hes", but at the end of a word many Korean consonants end up with a sound that's kinda inbetween t and d. So easily "no gas 3 hatch?" 마당땅꿀 = no idea, sorry. Google Translate says "yard honey", but uh O_o' 예스가스 3햇? = 예스 "yeseu", I think you can guess the rest. 또도가스? = "another gas?" 엌ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ = "ok kekeke" 좋았다 = "it was good / enjoyable" 느낌있네 = "it's nice" according to Papago
The madang dangkul is probably referring to roach with tunneling claws build. I'm just making a guess because dangkul means tunneling. It's been awhile since I've played starcraft or have been in Korea so I'd understand if someone understood it differently. Plus it doesn't seem out of character for one player to say, "shall I go three racks no gas again?" and the other to respond with "I'm going tunneling roaches then..."
Tier 1 protoss unit , zealot: a small meele unit with average dps and a good tankiness, cost 100 mineral and 2 supplie Tier 1 zerg unit, zergling: a low hp mele unit with good dps 25 mineral 0.5 supplie can evolve into bane if you pay more Tier 1 unit terran: a dude with a riffle, shooting ground and air, with very good dps, average hp, a capacity that boost their dps and move speed, can and will be used the entire game cause is viable whatever the situation is 50 mineral 1 supplie
Very non-biased way of putting it. Is not like zerglings also have an upgrade that changes them into one of the most destructive units in the game. Only ones that can actually complain are protoss.
@@KoalicusMarsupialensis Chhh XD let me complain a bit. And I'm a Terran player complaining about Terran? Fair no? But if I put it more seriously, my feeling is that Terran can get away with too many things. The mule by itself is already letting you recover from economical damage that would make instant GG for other races. Marines are, I think, the most polyvalent unit of the game. Tanks make defensive positions very costly to break. (I'm speaking for pro play only, all these things are trivial if you can't use them). And I didn't speak about other units. What about Medivacs and Ghosts? I get it that all races can't have the same tools. But these days, I think Terran can do too much and is harder to punish.
Might be a literal translation from Dutch, atleast in my dialect they are interchangeable. Depending on the context "Curious" in Dutch can mean different things as well: He's a "curious" person could mean: He's a person who always wants to know everything about everything/everyone or He's a weird/atypical/mysterious person. Highly depended on context and dialect/region though.
I never understood why terrans never ever build one or two Ravens and instead waste insane amount of energy for the whole game from Command Centers to clear the creep.
I only really watch SC2 on this channel but I've been watching literally every video for a few years now and the state of zerg is getting really sad. Before patch 5.0.9, the queens can longer transfuse off creep patch, the game in general had more variety. PvZ had queen walks, nidus worms were used, broodlords were used, basically every unit except ultras were used. Back then Terran used to play mech sometimes too. Maybe it's just the games Lowko casts but it actually feels like the build diversity has been decreasing for the last two years. Zerg seems to get the worst of it because any unit that is used heavily by zergs seems to get nerfed. Queens, Ultras, Banes, Broods, Vipers, Infestors, they've all been nerfed in the last 2 years in some cases several times. Lurkers avoided getting nerfed so far but they seem to be being played less. Mutas, Swarmhosts, and Hydras haven't really been nerfed or buffed but were considered mediocre or bad two years ago and still are. They only units not nerfed and still played about the same are Roaches, Ravagers, and Zerglings. I'm just a casual viewer but it really seems like about half the units of each race, and most of zerg, don't have much purpose anymore and I don't think that's a good thing.
I'm glad to see players starting to understand rts games. I've waited for over a decade to finally witness it. There are no real shortcuts. When you introduce cheese/gimmicks, you also allow rng to dictate your chances of success. You have to play with structure. Zerglins, marines, and zealots are the core unit of each faction. The rest are more of a supportive role. They should be 60% of your army as a rough estimate. This gives vision and allows multi-pronged attacks. Amongst many other things, like being canon fodder. Imagine seeing a sense of map control/positioning. Now, if players stopped trying to find flaws within the program to expliot, we would see fundamentals being used more effectively. You would definitely see players understanding of the game progress at a much faster rate. I won't keep my fingers crossed for that, though. Lol
I think Clem has made people realize that SC2 is more of a “hand” game then a “strategy” game. Everything happen so quickly in Sc2 that whoever has more hands usually wins. Clem beating Serral a few games with just blink stalker 10 gates while not being able to beat Serral with any other protoss strategy really drive home the point. I mean Serral is so good, he only lost to Toss 1 in every 100 games or something, but he can’t deal with a Toss off-race that has more hands then him xD.
I think this is inaccurate. double drop and main push is defo a strategy. Just because clem can micro both the drops and main push doesnt mean its a "hand" game There is still strategy behind what he does. 600 worker apm got no one anywhere, how is that for a hand game?
This isn't a new build. Destiny very famously rage-quit on his stream years ago against a marines-only build. With multiple nerfs to the infestor, nerfs to the baneling, and indirect nerfs to creep spread I am would not be surprised to see marine heavy builds come back.
nah, terran don't need any nerfs, it's just zerg is nerfed just a tiny bit too heavily plus Dark had execution flaws more than ByuN did and i'm sure this Dark's loss is only a skill issue
Where is the marine only build? In game 1 he didn't get to the point of having anything but marines, but not because he built 100ds of them. In the next 2 games Byun built a lot of other stuff as well. So where is what the title says?
Lowko trying to understand players talking and being friends with one another while trying to pit them against one another narratively is kinda cringe. Damn, I hate when pro players are so boring with their play. I've always said marines are way more overpowered than they need to be, and this literally continues to prove it with the amount of laze you can put into the game and still win
