- Thought I'd test out if the conformal coating I added to the stock ESC/receiver has actually waterproofed it. What better way to test it than seeing if it can float in the creek!
It definitely needs some better suspension though, the stock suspension is pretty much non-existent!

Can i ask, in my recent RC i do have extra batteries but it's four compact batteries, can it also run if I put my four compact batteries in the WPL? THANKS in advance
Do you mean just normal AA batteries? You need to use the correct battery with the correct connector. You can buy more from WPL if you need more. 👍

Me what the 3 pin plugs used on these cars and their batteries are actually called ? Thanks
Mine is a 2 pin black plug, which is a JST SM connector. If you look on WPL Toys website under Wires and Connectors, it lists all the connections they use and you can buy them too. Hope that helps. 👍
is it stick motor? if yes did you waterproof the motor? if yes again how?
It's the stock motor yeah. I didn't waterproof it no. Most brushed motors will handle a bit of water, but will probably fail sooner or later. 👍

Yeah it's stock, but I coated the electronics in conformal coating. It's not waterproof out the box. 👍

It's not technically waterproof no, but they work in water. If you run them in water or mud a lot, at some point the motor will fail as the moisture corrodes it. 👍
Can you recommend places to go in the UK or how best to find places nearby? I'm from South Wales
I'm from South Wales too. There's so many places, depends what you're looking for. Beaches you've got pretty much any beach on the coast, like Ogmore by Sea etc. Woods there are lots to choose from. I'm going to try some Newport way next, as I'm looking for some woods with big banks for some hill climbing. I would start by looking at local parks and woodland areas to see what's close to you. 👍
@@DoURC ha! Small world ;). I'm maybe 10 minutes from ogmore by sea so I'm likely going to have a nose down there at some point soon 😅. My son (4) is mad for it now so looking to get us out the house and get him going on it this year. Thanks for the advice!
@andrewrimell88 Ah excellent. I love the rocks down Ogmore. The sea water isn't your RC'S friend though. I've taken mine in the sea a few times, but I wouldn't recommend it! 🤣

What RC cars can I buy I have £50 for it
If £50 is your budget, then you're most likely looking at something like this WPL. They're under your budget but a bit more toy grade than hobby grade. Other option is look for something second hand slightly better.
I've got review videos on my channel of a few different crawlers at different price points, so may be worth watching them so you can see the differences each budget point will give you. 👍
