Thanks to Ted's endorsement I bought a Kawaii MP11SE (I had to wait six months for it to arrive during Lockdown) and it is absolutely blooming perfect. I'm lucky enough to be allowed to play a gorgeous grand piano at a very posh care home three mornings a week, I dunno why, I much prefer the MP11SE - Thanks Ted :)

I don't use the term "best." One of the best I would agree. And that's one of the nicer sounding GX's as well as I'm of a belief that certain individual pianos have a certain magic to them even if they're the same model and year. Strong bass register (a Kawai characteristic), great saturated sound (another Kawai characteristic), lots of dynamic possibilities to bring up inner lines on different levels, great timbre changes, it really does a lot. The Shigeru would be the next step up but this piano holds its own against other 7 footers in its price range from Hoffman, Schimmel, Yamaha, Boston (do they make a 7 footer?), and other makes.
I don't get much about the stretcher bar, that's a Kawai thing to market. The piano is very well made and has several features that add up to a great sound and feel. The action benefits from long sticks and careful weighting. Carbon fiber or wood, doesn't matter much to me. It's the execution of it that either works or doesn't for me.
