Just started watching. Beautiful boat! Greetings from New Jersey. We have a 43 foot Hatteras sand are about to begin our retirement life with many trips aboard our “Hope”
San Diego Bay has changed so much! When i was a kid we kept our boat at the Kona Marina, Shelter Island back when Shelter Island was the only marina in the Bay! I'd go out in my Boston Whaler squall sailing and marvel at the Aircraft Carrier Bunker Hill, CV-17 moored across the way at NASNI. I was told it's keel had been broken by torpedo hits in the South Pacific and the Navy had decommissioned her and was using her as a floating laboratory.
Steve, love hearing about your San Diego Bay history! We, too, spend many an afternoon marveling at aircraft carriers and other huge ships while cruising around in our own Boston Whaler!
Loved this episode! What beautiful shots of the San Diego Bay, and the music was so perfect - it felt like I was there! Great work, can't wait to see more!
Im starting to do my research on live aboard boats. Im hoping within two to five years ill be able to live fulltime between my boat, holiday trailer and acreage. Im trying my best to be a full time content creator and if i keep growing at the rate that i am, theres a good chance ill be able to go full time fairly soon. Best of luck to you guys and enjoy the water!
Hi there! Our slip fee has been $902 for quite a while but is going up In January I think around $975. These days it’s harder to find slip than when we got one 5 years ago. Depending on the marina, you may need to get on a waiting list. Also, you can sometimes keep the slip occupied by a boat you purchase. Good luck!
im trying to find a liveaboard slip in san diego, however I do not have a boat yet (im looking at a 42 trawler) any advice on where to look for a slip?
There are so many options, and it all depends on your priorities! Check out the many marinas on Shelter Island and Harbor Island. Then there is the Marriott Marquis Marina, which is located downtown but is pricier. Another nice option... one that is very affordable... is Pier 32 in National City. Hope that helps!
happy to find you kids, i am in the same position, dont have a boat yet and looking for a liveaboard also, i say right after summer end so i am following and is kind of difficult to organize things from far away
So, what do you think? Could YOU live on a boat? I'd love to know!
That spice rack is awesome!!
Thank you! We ❤️ our spice rack!
Thanks for sharing. Pretty sure “I could do that”. 44 is about the right size and your boat is beautiful. I’ll keep dreaming.
Ha, we bet you could, too! Don’t stop dreaming!😀
Awesome to see what it's like over in the other sunshine state! Nice vid!
Thanks Butch! It’s nice we both live in the two sunshine states!☀️

Such a peaceful and serene 10 minutes that briefly took me away with you on your adventure. Look forward to the next escape on board the Sea Y’all.

I could easily live aboard that yacht. Cost wise, how much is your slip fee and how did you find it?
