I use to work at the Home Depot and when customers would ask me how much something roughly measure. I would use this methods and the customers would not accept my rough estimate and when I pull out the the tape measure and my estimate is close or spot on, the stupid look on their face is oddly satisfying

This already saved me time and nerves. Thanks for sharing, your videos are great.
Ps.: Just a tip from a +2 decade online marketing guy: You might want to include more relevance into your titles and descriptions and maybe read up 1 or 2 things for the basics because itll be a shame if your stuff goes away before it started its plain to see that you have a lot of experience and its always great to learn those tweaks you can only get from the pros.
Example: "Measuring with your hands" does not tell the machine that your talking about woodworking etc.
Again, no criticism, just friendly advice. feel free to delete the comment after reading. ;)

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback. My SEO skills are not as good as my woodworking skills. But, I’ve been listening to some interesting marketing podcasts lately and you make a great point. There’s a new website/blog I’m starting that will have a lot of old school woodworking/design techniques and tips, will certainly keep that in mind as I write the articles.

@@JShawFurniture Your very welcome. There arent many good teachers or professional woodworkers that share real knowledge on youtube.
Depending on what you want to achieve with the channel my advice (im consulting for a decade now) would be the following:
-give it time to grow, think more in terms of starting a restaurant ;)
-write out your titles explicitly, no need to copy successful channels, develop your own voice, just make sure the relevant terms are in or it explains the result/benefit (its not necessary what got them there)
-dont chase tricks/hacks/trends. From your content it seems to me you know very well what your doing and you have not only practical but also industry experience so its just a matter of time to find your angle.
-post content regularly. Thats pretty much the only retention and growth factor that has been stable the last 5 years
Again, absolutely do not want to smartass or critisize you at all. Love your stuff and wanted to make sure i speak my professional peace and do my part to protect you from the insanity of the online marketing world. Its only necessary for places that want to be sold and need to grow and while doing it spend 5 bucks on every one they make if you know what i mean.
Best of luck friend. You are now the only guy next to worth the effort woodworking that i consider. That guy is btw the only dude i found online thst actually taught real people snd not only camera lenses.
      bye
