My Barber is deaf af, he used to cut it short, like almost bald, i wanted to change my hair, so i didnt go for like 6 months, and when i got back, a i asked for an undercut, he just shaved ALL of my hair off...
R-Designs ik how u feel my hair was 7 inches long and the barber cut it with a number 3 cutter i got so pissed all i told him was to cut my sides ....
Why don't you just say: "Hi can I get the sides tapered with a scissors from the top down, then shaved tighter near the ear. Don't take much off the top, just a trim, because I'm trying to grow it out" - You say this and he'll make sure not to take much length off. Not hard man.
I feel ya, this happens to me often with new barbers and current. I'm thinking about looking for a replacement.

John Rafael you cant clip a part of skin with a clipper its made to cut hairs on you scalp it cant cut skin unless your barber pointed it at your ear and put force on it

Honestly, one of the best DIY-style vids on UA-cam. Good footage, great music, good content and clear instruction on what he's doing.
I think it looks pretty cool, but the problem I have is that these never last. They are quite literally weekly or fortnightly at best, haircuts. Which can get expensive if you're paying some hip joint to do it.
Do I give any shits if this guy wears makeup or is gay or whatever? None.

Tony M first, make an appointment with your barber...i made it by asking him out for a cup of tea when his shop is closed and free.. then i showed him the entire video from start to end.. he said ok ill go home and learn this hairstyle... so, when i got back to his shop tomorrow, he started cutting my hair based on the hairstyle.. and yup.. he did it right.. he cut my sides and back halfway with number 2 and used scissors to fade it.. and the top..he didnt touch it..and continued with styling.. thats all man.. cheers and good luck

+Raoul To pull off this hair you need sharp features and a really fucking cut jawline like this guy. He even has a beardline to define it. If youre even remotely chubby this haircut will magnify it and make you look rounder. (I tried this cut and i looked fatter lol) Might do it after i lose a few pounds
