Great video! Is there any chance you have a video covering the disassembly? I know you said it is a pain but I’m really wanting to try and don’t want to break it… seeing how you did it would be great!
Incredible Ben. I've had a go at repainting mine and gave up just trying to seperate the chassis. Not an easy project at all as the back section just repels paint. You persevered through all the pain of this build and it's all paid off because that is a masterpiece. Amazing work mate.

I made the tail lights light up it was insanely hard I had to cut out the plastic where the sticker originally sat I made the tail lights out of a clear acrylic plastic using sharpie to change the color that would shine through and masked it off with clear tape

Appreciate the kind words 🙏 but selling them would defeat the purpose of what im trying to do, which is inspire others to try customising for themselves and get creative. The world needs more original art, theres already enough customers.

Great Idea, though I think you could have used dark black paint instead of electrical tape for the inside of the hood. The reason being is eventually the electrical tape's adhesive will turn gooey and eventually fall off.
Yep, would have been the better route to have gone, no idea why I didn't to be honest. Just never entered my head.

How to disassemble it?
Pop the bumpers off. Once they are off. The rest comes apart easily. No screws, just clipped together

I'd like to know how you took the car apart so you could dremel the space for the figure's legs.
What figures are you referring too? I didnt dremel any space. The playmobil figs fit just fine inside
Over time that electrical tape is going to dry out and start to fall off. Personally I would have lightblocked by airbrushing flat black under the chassis in 3-4 coats.
If i had an airbrush i would have, but sound advice mate 👍

I didn't film it. Best I could do at the time. The bumpers were tough to pop off. But once they were off, the rest came apart easily. No screws. Just clipped together. That's it.
The LEDS and electronics were a pain
They were for me too, can imagine the tail lights were a nightmare

Thank you, as i have not seen the Hot Toy version in hand i would not know where to begin or what in particular would need customising on it. As it is a very expensive piece, i would not attempt it myself.
@@ProjectPiperCustoms thanks a lot for your answer. Indeed, this version is rather expensive but it is far from flawless. There are plenty of cables missing in the cabin. The cables from the outside are not at all faithful to the original.There are almost no apparent screws. Everything seems clipped. So I didn't try anything for fear of damaging it without being able to repair it.

hey man, i definitely make one myself according to your video. But how did you light up the flux capacitor? Did i miss it in the video? Great job! Very cool
Thanks so much 🙌 glad you enjoyed it. The flux was already a part of the original LED system that comes with the car. When you take it apart you will see how they work. Its why i added an additional battery and switch so my extra LED system didnt effect that
