Aspiration of Edelgard: she wants to get rid of all the powerful forces in Fodlan. Rhea is one of them, as a dragon and as archbishop, and Thales (the guy who threw the orb at you) is another incredibly powerful player on the continent. Her life has been so messed up by power-seeking and powerful people that she wants to get rid of them all and start the continent's political system from scratch. That was three sentences, sorry. I needed the third 😂
a thing i dont know if you know about. in battle preperation, after you select your units in the units tab, you can go to the map tab. if you then select one of your units, you can swap its starting position with another if you were already aware of this then im sorry for bringing it up. i just figured it helps your tactics as we hit the war proper
Some of the others have summarized Edelgard’s goals quite well so I’ll refrain from repeating them lol I want to point out though that the guy at the end who shot the magic spell at Byleth (causing him to fall into the ravine thing) is the same guy who protected Monica/Kronya when Byleth was tryna save Jeralt
Ngl it’s hard to keep Edelgard’s goals short, it basically she wants to get rid of the oppressive crests system, get rid of corrupt and lazy nobles who have their titles just handed to them, and to uncover the Church’s corrupt ways.
Edelgard’s goal in a sentence: take down the crest system held by Rhea’s leadership. To this day I still wish something else could’ve been done instead of declaring war, but we already see how Rhea behaves so.. yeah don’t know what other way there could be..

I’ve played this game probably as much if not more than anybody man, I have almost 5000 hours in it and I love this game to death. I know for a fact you don’t play the way I do but that’s been the beauty of watching you. It’s funny as shit and exciting to see someone experience it for the first time - something I’ll never have back. I could sit and write more and more but I know you want short stuff. Keep it up man. While a lot of people do agree that the Golden Deer route is probably the weakest one (not that it’s bad by any means I still love it), one thing for sure is that Claude is great, and is probably my favorite of the 3 even though Dimitri and Edelgard are still amazing and very well written.
yeah. blue lions gets the best writing and crimson flower is still neat but claude is just the best guy. helps alot when your nation is build on not having absolute power and thus you cant just be a dick.
