  • Georgy Abramov (Георгий Абрамов) and Georgy Pavlovich Vinogradov (Георгий Павлович Виноградов) sing "Oh Like the Sea" (Уж, как по морю) , recorded 1940s, probably for All-Union Radio. It's an old folk song with nice crunchy medieval harmonies.
    Vinogradov playlist:

(The Schubert and Schumann are on different playlists - see my channel)
Film location: Little Almscliff at Beckwithshaw and Nosterfield RSPB reserve in North Yorkshire, December 2009. The birds are geese - possibly mostly Canada geese - though I think there's at least one pinkfoot in there.

that is music ! both singers are very very great (espacially the baryton on this recording). They perfectly feel the deep rhythm and meaning of the beat. (wild geese are powerful)

@ LHaritonov. Glad you like it. I guess this was done when they were still doing traditional harmonies and performances like the Black Raven recording. I wish there were more of these.

Wew, I love it, even it's not from Ensemble :)

Thank you TePPoP1989 for your information. Looking at their biographies, I'm now wondering if this could be an All-Union Radio recording. However they were both singing for the Ensemble and the radio during the same war years, and after the war.
I think that you are probably right, though. I'll remove the mention of the Ensemble from the description. Thank you again for your kind help.

I know it's late for 8 years, but just gotta drop the lyric anyway...
    Romanization version:
Uzh kak po moryu, po moryu
    Moryu sinenkomu
    Moryu sinenkomu, oy da!
    Tut i plyli-vosplyvali,
    Rovno tridtsat korabley
    Rovno tridtsat korabley, ekh da!
    Khorosho grebtsy grebut, ekh da!
    Veselo pesni poyut,
    Veselo pesni poyut, oy da!
    Veselo pesni poyut, ekh da!
    Razgovory govoryat
