I know it’s 3 years ago , but still happy to see this video . I feel the same way about wanting to be available for my son when he needs me . Which is why I decided to substitute teach in our district , still allowing me to be home when he is home to help with homework , make dinner , etc . I would have a very hard time giving my all to both a full time corporate job and being accesible to him .
I’m a stay at home mom currently and we made the decision for me to stay home after hearing the fees from different daycares while I was pregnant! After calculating, I would have made $100 more a month than what daycare would cost. $100 a month to take home and have my son in daycare all day just didn’t make sense. I love being home with my son who is now 2 1/2. In the future I’ll go back to work but paying child care costs until public school and working doesn’t make sense unless I made a ton per hour! People think our family has money because I stay at home but that’s not it at all. Luckily I don’t have to take off work to stay home with my sick kid when he’s sick and I am so thankful to be there for my son every day and take care of my house :)
That's the same choice my hubby & I made several years ago. It truly was a hard choice. But making minimum wage, busting my butt at a dead end job, coming home & busting my butt again with four kids... it's both easier to stay at home & tough. Money is extremely tight. My friends think I have it made bc I get to stay home while my hubby makes good money. On paper yeah he brings home a decent amount. In reality, once bills are paid & groceries are bought (on the tightest of budgets), we are broke. As tough as it's all been for us financially, I wouldn't trade these years with my kids for the highest possible salary. They may not have the best material things. And they don't care. They have me home to answer their questions, to cook, to clean, to talk, even to ignore (teenagers). I'd happily do it all over again bc I've been blessed with something money can never buy: my children's time. Time I can never get back once they're grown. One day they'll look back & know we struggled. They'll also know that they had their mom home with them when they needed me most. They'll also know the best things & the best memories are far better than having the best material things that rarely last.
I worked for 27 years in law enforcement and retired last year. Now, I am a housewife/stay at home mom. My youngest still lives at home but she’s in grad school. I feel like I’m I living a dream. My hard work and dedication paid off. I coupon, sell on Ebay, run, weight train and cook. I am busy but what a life. I had many times where I wanted to pull my hair out but it was so worth it. I retired at 52 and love my life.
After 27 years as a Corrections/Justice worker, I retired 9 months ago and I will never, be ever go back. I wake up happy every single day. Good for you!!
A couple months ago Carter said, "mom it's a good thing you stay at home, I think I could get into alot of trouble if you didn't... I see other kids who do." I mean kids can and will find a way but it's a lot harder if you are there at the crossroads and have the energy to put into it. I am watching a baby on Fridays which has been awesome. 1 day a week they are both teachers so great hours and no holidays. I clean, pay bills, do laundry all while getting paid!
Good for you! I had my first baby about 7 months ago. Before that I was working 3-4 jobs because I liked being busy. Now I’m a stay at home mom. It was a hard adjustment at first, I felt like I wasn’t contributing or using my skills but now I’ve embraced who I am, like you said, and I’ve realized being there for my child and future children is my biggest priority. If I was back working outside the home I would be so burnt out and unable to be present for my baby and husband. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for sharing . Don't worry about what everyone else thinks or does. I am currently a stay at home mom. I've been a working mom as well in the past. My heart was breaking when I worked outside the home. I felt like I was missing precious moments that I could never get back. I stopped working 4 years ago. People may think I'm crazy or stupid but being a mom defines who I am . Being a mom will always be my most important job.
I am a single mom who works outside the home, but I am hoping to someday come home with my boys. Some days are harder than others, but we make it work.
My hat is off to you for making this decision. I too made a significant life changing decision 3 1/2 years ago and haven’t looked back. I’m grateful every day to be there for my kids. I enjoy your videos. You rock!
I have two high school boys, I worked part time for 10 years and I have chronic illness. like you I really loved what I did and who I worked for. When I would come home I was so exhausted and didn’t have any energy for my family. During all of this COVID stuff we decided family comes first and I can say it has made such a difference for everyone in our household. When I watch you videos I see the love that your family shares. Keep up the good work!
I'm a stay at home mom. 4 plus years. Never gave my friends who were stay at home moms credit. Though you keep the house clean your man fed and life was bliss. I've been challenged so much. I feel like I dont do enough or give enough. I feel that going back to work would help. But maybe it would be too much. You do you anddont ever let someone say one job is harder or more strenuous than the other. I love tuning in. You really help me a lot. Thank you
I worked outside of the home for 8 years with my first three kids. I just recently left my job last year when I became pregnant with my 4th and 5th. I have the absolute same feelings about wanting to be here and present for my kids. I think our lives are so much more fulfilled now that I can focus 100% on us. Loved what you had to say about this!
I’ve retired from house cleaning to run our new Airbnb. I LOVE being home! Re: spending time caring for our families. You will never regret this. We can always work. But our families thrive under care and direction. I have found that my boys needed my help even more than when they were little. They needed, and still benefit, from help making big decisions, that will affect the rest of their lives. Bravo mama. And bonus points.....you can keep all of us entertained. Ps, have you ever tried using buttermilk in your bread instead of water? A friend tried my bread (your amazing recipe) and told me about buttermilk. Just curious.
Even though you will miss your marketing job, glad you are finding what works for you and your family and your balance. I cannot believe you were taking all this on and marathon training! I wanna take a nap thinking about it🤣 Seriously, thanks for taking your time out of your day to share your family and tips and videos with us. We appreciate them and you!❤
For the past 6 years I've been a student mum. I was studying full time while also balancing my mental health with the kids while also trying to work for a better future for them. Because of my health I wasn't able to study and work and be a mum all at once, so I took student and mum and didn't work. I'm graduating next month and hopefully a job comes in the next month or two but that'll be outside the home and I'm pretty confident in my ability to do those two well. Great job on searching for what was best for your family, the best choice is not always the easiest one but you've done well!
I’m a work outside of the home mom and so so so wish i could be a stay at home mom. I love my job but i feel like i am missing out on so much. I’m so happy for you!
Hi Chelsea, I'm in the same boat, and I'm happy to find a comment that's also relatable to me. I feel like I'm "on" all day, running both a mental and physical marathon. I want to melt into the ground some days, even though I also love my job. And, like you, I know that working allows for certain lifestyle opportunities, or to sustain the regional cost of living. This is definitely every mom's biggest battle!
Totally get it...we all need to do what is best for us and our family...i was a stay at home wife/mom for 18 years and went back to work to help our three kids pay for college. All three have graduated. It was a difficult transition for all of us but it worked out just fine. You got this girlfriend!!!
I love your perspective! I tried being a work at home mom - but it definitely wasn’t for me. I’m much happier now that I found a job super close to home where I’m learning tons of new things and I have a great boss and coworkers. I feel like I’m setting an example for my kids where, if you feel like something isn’t working, you figure out something that does.
Currently I am a stay home mom. I used to teach online classes when my kids were really little and it was near impossible. I was up till midnight every night because I couldn't get anything done during the day with two little kids, and then I was breastfeeding them while grading papers. I don't hear many people talk about work at home moms much! I was also raised by a single mom, so I had to teach myself to cook and clean and do all of that stuff, and I have only noticed recently that I am starting to feel good at that type of stuff, so I understand what you mean about that! Kudos to you for stepping back to be more present with your kids!
I have a full time home schooling mum since my older son was born in 2005, until he went to school in 2021. I continued to home schooled my younger son last year, and he is also going to school this year (I’m in Australia, school starts end of January). So now I will start looking for work, and learn how to be a working mum. A new season of life.
Good for you! I also want to say that I appreciate your disclaimer. I used to teach full time and then when my youngest was about a year I came home full time. I felt the need to justify my value to everyone which was silly. Mamas are hardworking whether you work outside the house or not. God made us all differently but equally valued.
I am a SAHM, I worked part time after my first child, but then left to be a SAHM, then we had a huge family change and then we got pregnant again...so I went back to work. But ultimately, I (and my husband) wanted someone to be home and available for the kids. So, I am a SAHM and homemaker full-time. It is hard and we make sacrifices financially (sometimes), but we are lucky that my husband has a great job and I have some part-time online work that I do as well. Thanks for sharing!
I've done it both ways...now they're grown and gone happy to have been home for the time I could. Everyone has to do what's best for them and their families. I've always counted myself fortunate that my mother stayed home with us. It was a tough job my father always appreciated her!
This was worded so perfectly and I really relate. Right now I work outside the home, but I'm looking forward to when I can be at home with my kids full time.
I am a stay at home mom for 8 years now and will be for a while. I'm so glad you will have this time with your kids now. Props to all the moms making it work!
I’m just catching up with some of your older videos and this is one I’ll share with my daughter. I always worked outside the home when my only child was growing up and I’m starting to believe that she thinks it’s expected of her. She spends a bit of time frazzled or seeking peace. Personally I think she’d be happier working part time outside of the house. That’s my opinion and she’s still on the road to discovering what actually works best for her. 2020 has been very difficult on my daughter as I’m sure it’s been for most moms
I know I'm two years late watching this, but I absolutely needed to hear your story today. I've also been binge watching all of your videos today as well.
I've done it all, but landed in operating a home daycare so that I could raise my own children. I was never the most patient parent nor caregiver, but i loved my yahoos and we all survived and thrived. After 25+ yrs as a childcare provider and my children all grown and out of the house I retired at 50. Now I care for aging parents. God has created us all different and with different rolls to play. And that is a wonderful thing. You be you and I'll be me and we will encourage and build each other up. We need to be kinder to one another and less judgmental. I wish you the best Christene.
I stayed home when my kids were little and worked part time evenings and weekends. Now that they are in school I work full time but 90% of the time I work from home so I can get them on the bus and pick them up after school and be here if they have a snow day or are on school break. It has been a huge blessing for my family to have this job that’s helping us reach our financial goals and also allowing me to be home when needed. I love the peace surrounding your decision Christine and I think it’s an awesome decision!!
Stay at home mom here, and I find that my capabilities are not to work outside the home and be there the way I feel the need to be for our girls. Hats off to all the Moms and Dads out there that kill it every day ❤️
I have been a Nanny for almost 20 years. I truly believe if a mom can stay home she should. None of the families I have worked for needed 2 incomes. I truly believe that kids need a parent at home.
I don't have kids, but I don't want to be left out of the conversation so I'm joining in, lol. I work outside the home, but I also have a part time job that allows me to work from home. I commend all the mothers out there who work from home and those who work outside the home. Moms are awesome. I'm happy for you, Christine! It sounds like you made the best decision for you and your family, and that is a wonderful thing. Congrats to you!!
Well, good. I’m glad you were able to make a decision that gave you peace. And great job not comparing yourself to others. I think that is very important.
I’ve been a stay at home Mom for almost 15 years!! It’s what I always imagined for myself. Now that all of my kids are in school full time, I’m volunteering once every two weeks, and trying to kind of figure myself out again. I had my first baby at 21, so I don’t have a lot of life experience prior to being a stay at home Mom!
I absolutely respect your decision. I've been a sahm, I've worked part time, full time - both at home and away, etc. etc. It's good that you listened to your heart. That peace you feel is as a result of the right decision. God bless
I have been both,I am now a stay at home mom. However one has graduated and one graduates this year and the third graduates in 2 years. Awesome to be their for your kids when they need you. Congrats on your decision during this season.
I’m a stay at home mom! I love that I’m able to focus 90% of my time on my daughter. Hats off to working moms though, cause I don’t think I could do it.
You go girl! You do you. Love your videos and energy. I yearn to be a work from home wife, mom, nana. I miss so much of what I want to do. Until then, I work outside of the home.
Good decision for your family Christine. I fully intended to go back to work after my first child was born. I wanted to take off 3 months and then go back, but they said I had to come back after 6 weeks. I just couldn't do it, so I quit. (Working in a lawyer's office which is stressful enough before I had my daughter). To be sure, it wasn't easy financially. My husband made enough money that we lived comfortably. Granted we didn't get ahead or save a lot of money, but we both thought it was the best decision for us. Two more kids after that. I always loved being able to be there for them, going to school field trips, etc., things I couldn't have done working full time. I always said I would go back to work after my youngest started school, but just never did. Now 25 years later my youngest is a freshman in college. I have worked part time for almost 5 years as a secretary at my church and that works for us. My hubby just retired so we are able to do things together now. It's a personal decision for sure and I know some women have no choice but to work. And some want to work.
I'm so proud of you. It's hard to please everyone and take care of yourself as well. You are such an active person anyway. Do what you need to do and what feels right for your family. No judgement here👍. You're amazing!!
You need to do what is right for you and your family, it sounds like you’ve done exactly that. Good luck to you, be happy with less pulling you in all directions xx
Have been a previous SAH mom- now WAH temporarily till April then will go back to the office. I love working from home but it can be hard to step away and take breaks bc you are so involved with your work.
I couldn't do it work then and come back home and take care of my son and husband. My shift was from 12:00pm to 8:00pm I still had to clean my work area before we closed. Since it was meat department I had to wash everything, make sure everything was covered (meat, cheeses, ECT).. when I would get home like around 10pm my husband and son would be asleep. So I quit.. I didn't have to work , I just wanted to help my husband but we both decided it's best to stay home. Maybe when my son is older and starts school I will be able to work morning shifts.
I really could not imagine juggling all you do! I am a new mom and even though being home full time was hard for me at first (first time not “working” since 16). I am now approaching my return to work and struggling with that (mom guilt 🤣). Thankfully my spouse is going to be a stay at home dad for a year (just need to get him to learn to cook 😬). As for school, I thought doing my bachelors part time was hard while working full time (it took me 7 years to do 2 years worth of courses) but I could not even fathom doing it now with a child let alone 4. You are pretty amazing! I love your videos!
I have been a working outside the home since 1998. I have missed a lot of my 2 kids growing up, but I have been the sole provider since 2009 and a single mom.
I’ve been a stay at home mom for 10 yrs now. I struggle with wanting to work feeling like I wasted my degree but I know me being home is what is best and what I enjoy the most. Maybe one day I will find some part time work once all my kids are in school. Who knows
You don't have to be a certain type of mom just be a mom. They will be gone before you know it. I put my whole self in my kids and it was good but in the end I was lost. I raised them from one and three by myself I didn't date go out party nothing. When they grew up I was lost. So it's good you still have a outside life too.
I've been at stay at home mom for 5 years. I always worked before having kids.. this past 5 years at home were challenging for me because I didnt feel like this was something I wanted to do(staying at home) so this year I went back to school and now I have so much mom guilt for doing that.. my youngest is 3 and he stays with grandma while I'm at school but I feel so guilty for leaving them and I keep questioning if I made the right choice.... glad to hear that u are so happy and at peace with ur decision!!!
Im stay home mom until.last year that I decided I want to do something and Im a youtuber and a blogger and its coming pretty good I love it. And I do it when all my kiddos are at school. You are amazing.
great video. i feel like that you did a great thing. I'm a stay at home mom on disability. my husband passed away June 5th, 2018. I'm dealing with issues with my husband's family and my younger son. I'm sorry I'm venting to you. great video
I'm a home maker and put my career on hold, my son is straight A student and has always done really well in school, after he goes to junior high I'm going back to career mode, but I don't have to worry about him, he's all grown. For mothers it's difficult decision to make but your kids are absorbing your ways of life and it's just for a time until they grow up.
I applaud you and your decision. Realizing you can't do ALL the things all the time is a hard pill to swallow especially because women have society selling us such a false bill of goods about who we should be. Good for you, girl!♀❤
When I worked outside the home I couldn't shut it off. I know lots of people can, but I can't. I feel like I missed so much with my kids. My husband took on a lot because I had a long commute also. I left a few years ago and now I'm a SAHM. I plan on going back when they are older.
I've done both working outside of the home and then being a stay at home mom for awhile too. After I had my son I had to go back to work 5 weeks later at one job which was 30-40 hours a week then my second seasonal job started up before my son was even 7 weeks old, I'm working 40+ hours a week there and then trying to breastfeed and keep up with the demands of a newborn, thank God I had my mother to help me then! Life didn't slow down until after Valentine's day in 2014 for me. Right now I'm trying to figure out what my next move will be, since trying to find a job that is going to be flexible around my son's schedule is very important, to keep it simple he has some special needs and unfortunately not many places are willing to work with me for that.
Good for you! You're doing you and that's awesome. I've had to make the same decisions and staying home for my family I will ever apologize for. Thanks for sharing.
Every persons situation is different and for some, working outside the home is best and for some the latter is best. I am currently a sahm but have done both. In 2015 my husband and I decided that life was so crazy busy that something had to give. I decided it was best to leave my job of 12 years. It was a hard decision and I was sad to leave all the friends I had made over the years, but my kids needed me. A year and half later three of my five children had completely unexpected medical conditions come up that wouldn't have been easily manageable if I were working outside the home. I also have more time for my husband. I like to say that everything happens for a reason. I'm so grateful to be able to be home with my kids while they are young 💗
@@FrugalFitMom I was! My husband worked really hard to be able to allow me to stay home. My kids are doing well! So far everything is under control but one of my children have a life long disorder, so we will have speedbumps through out life! Thanks for asking! 💗
Im a firm believer in a stay at home parent until the kids are in school. Fortunately I was able to do that. Daycare is so expensive, and I feel those first few years so much is happening with kids that I didn't want to miss anything. Going to work after my kids were in school was great also for me because I got to get out in the world. It was great for my kids because they got more time with grandparents after school until we got off work. I worked at the elementary school which was perfect for me.
I’m so happy for you! I had to give up my job a few years ago for my kids and I don’t regret it. This is a season in life maybe you need to be home for the kids. ❤️
I am retired. I attended business college, worked and had a career before having my three children. Stayed at home, began working part time, then went to school part time, completed an AA, worked a while, returned to school, completed a MS, taught at U for about 10 years, worked another 20 years and now retired. Where did the years go? I so enjoyed being home with my children when they were little. We kept busy and I was involved in their activities. It was hard work. I had about four distinct careers. I enjoyed my children and now my grand children, so we still spend time together. So, been there, done that. I lived by the thought that God directs our lives and has a plan. Enjoy your family and a new direction.
My family and i’s goal is to for me to be able to quit my job and be what my son calls a “home mommy”. However I did quit a stressful job, took a job with less hours and stress, for half the money! Congrats! Seize the Day!
I'm a stay at home mother of 2. I loved my job! I'm very thankful to have a partner who is letting this all happen. My family is very important to me as well.
Stay at home mom (ok I worked some part time jobs that did not interfere with parenting), since 2005. I am looking forward to going back to work full time in the next few years after my youngest graduates (we homeschool). I worked full time until my oldest was 5 - I remember feeling that I was not doing either job well- when I was at work, I thought about home and when I was home I thought about work.
I’m not a mom at all. I have a 9-5 (approximately) which I hate, but it beats the 12/7 I was working before. I’m am contemplating work from home opportunities that actually translate to a full time salary.
I stayed home when my kids were little. Once they were in school I worked part time. They grow up so fast. If you had an expensive Mercedes you wouldn’t let someone you barely knew drive it around all day. You wouldn’t truly know if they were driving it correctly, filling it with the right fuel, keeping it clean and maintained. Our children are much more precious than a Mercedes so I wanted to be the one who took care of them, not a stranger. As imperfect of a mom I probably was, they were loved and cared for by me, their mommy.
I had just finished my grad degree and then within a year had my son. I thought he was going to day care BUT the moment I held him I knew that I didn't want anyone else raising my son...and for the next 15 years I raised my son and daughter.
I been working since before I graduated from HS and im 30 yrs. I used to work about 50 to 60hrs per week, but ever since I had my baby girl, i couldn't take it. It got so extremely hard to work and being away from my baby that my husband and I decided it was just best for me, for us for our family to stay at home with our lil girl. We made some changes in our life but at the end is ALL WORTH IT.
I work outside of the home and it's so hard, especially because we have no family around to help! I have a one year old and a two year old so it's extremely hard feeling like I'm missing out on so much. But I do like feeling like I'm using my accounting degree. Maybe eventually I can find something with a little more balance.
I was a stay at home mom then I went back to work in my youngest daughters junior year. Now I’m retired and just take care of my husband and max our dog and I don’t miss working. I loved being a stay st home mom. The one thing I did do was when my youngest got married and had her first child I quit to watch my grand child and then her second 6 yrs later until 3 yrs ago.and I just retired in oct
I love your channel so very much! I have been watching your videos for a month now. I love your extreme budget challenges and your energy. I have also chosen to leave the workforce. It is just my husband and I.
I work outside my home full time, Monday through Friday, and Part-time on Saturday while a full time Masters student. Crazy. I know. Regardless, I love your energy. Keep being you! Aloha!!!
Bravo - you do you! 👏When daughter really young I stayed home. I then worked full time for a few years in different organizations that I didn't work out (sexual harassment and one layoff). Kindergarten I sold Tupperware at night and weekends (needed more adult interaction and money). Stayed home for several more years after that. Hubby had an injury racing motorcycles (hobby) and was out of work for six months. 😒Sold everything I could and went to work at a university with good health insurance and pension. Fast forward to working there for 25 years. Was everything from a secretary to multimedia satellite language (the infancy of it) for many hours a week. Worked my way up to fiscal operations manager in the President's Office. We needed the income, health insurance and pension due to husband being self employed. Missed a lot of time with my daughter (couldn't have anymore). Thankfully my husband had a flexible business where he could go to all of my daughter's events. Retired now for 8 years but do see my daughter and grandson intermittently. Long winded I know. 😊
Not a mom at all, but I also teach online. I teach reading, science, and ESL courses. It's so rewarding. Before this, I was teaching both online and in an elementary classroom. Last year, I decided to move away from the physical classroom and teach only online. It was definitely hard, but it was a great decision for me. Congrats on doing what is best for you!
@@FrugalFitMom We are actually revamping stuff this weekend, so I'll be able to check out our new program on Monday. My previous teaching job used Canvas as well. I currently teach for a company called iusenglish.
@@FrugalFitMom If you are curious about teaching this type of way, VIP KID is kind of similar (I think.) I have friends who work for them. Also, there are plenty of videos about them online, etc. They are definitely always hiring as well.
I retired because I am raising my grandson and he was having issues. I returned thru a temp agency at an on call position. So just a few hours here and there so I could put money toward an expensive furnace repair. I couldn't be happier...I am broke all the time, but I am freaking happy. I have a masters degree, That is why frugal shpping and budgeting are so very important to me. They allow me the ability to live this lifestyle!
I have worked outside the home but right now, I am a stay at home mom. Neither is easy but family has to come first...always.
So excited for you. When I quit one of my clients that was causing me a LOT of stress I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. It was freeing.

@@Ucongold Retirement is awesome! Congratulations!
A couple months ago Carter said, "mom it's a good thing you stay at home, I think I could get into alot of trouble if you didn't... I see other kids who do."
I mean kids can and will find a way but it's a lot harder if you are there at the crossroads and have the energy to put into it. I am watching a baby on Fridays which has been awesome. 1 day a week they are both teachers so great hours and no holidays. I clean, pay bills, do laundry all while getting paid!
I knew of all people you would understand. :)
Thank you
Work from home mom over here! One of the main reasons I love my job IS that I can be here for my kiddos and hubby. Family should come first, always!
Happy for you! Kids always need our attention... it matters so much more than the money that we make as moms!
I'm a work-from-home, stay-at-home mom :) So many different options. I'm glad you were able to do what was right for you!
God bless
Happy for you ! Glad you’re feeling better about where you spend your time. Love your videos!
YAY!! Good for you, you are one of the hardest working moms,so scaling back and enjoying being with the family more is fantastic. 😊
I have been both,I am now a stay at home mom. However one has graduated and one graduates this year and the third graduates in 2 years. Awesome to be their for your kids when they need you. Congrats on your decision during this season.
I work and feel torn apart sometimes but always make it work. So congratulations and enjoy your family.
God Bless you Christine that you are able to do this! I cant wait until I can do this! At the moment I am not able to.
Congratulations!! I am stay at home mom. We all have our strength and weaknesses! You have taught me a lot about becoming even more frugal. Thank you!
I'm a stay at home mom. My spouse works. That works for us. I thought you seemed happier in your last couple videos. That's fantastic! ❤
Oh, interesting that you noticed! Thanks for watching!
I've done both.Glad you figured out what's best for your family.Enjoy your channel 😊
20,000 subscribers...WOW far you've come. You deserve it.
Working mom here, but I get summers off , fall, winter, and spring breaks
Good for you that you have choices!
I work full time outside of the home. But am very thankful that I only have to work three days a week and can focus on my three boys the other four.
Glad that you do whatever works for you! Love that you make decisions that reflect your integrity.
I’m a full time mom to my 7 kids!
We homeschool and love it!
I so enjoy your grocery hauls. They are inspiring!
I am very happy for you! Enjoy the time with your kids bec, they wont live with you forever.
Wow!! It sounds like you were inspired to make that decision! Are they doing okay now?
You have to do what is best for you and your family. At the end of the day, only you go to bed with your decision. May God bless you !
We each make our choices that work for us. Thanks for sharing.
Kudos to you for putting your family first.
I work outside of the home and it's so hard, especially because we have no family around to help! I have a one year old and a two year old so it's extremely hard feeling like I'm missing out on so much. But I do like feeling like I'm using my accounting degree. Maybe eventually I can find something with a little more balance.
Good for you. It’s so okay to do what you want. I would.love to be a stay at home grandma but darn insurance costs are too high.
Girl I feel you! I just quit 2nd job as well! My kids were missing me and my kids need their momma lol.
I really think you are getting this all figured out for you and your family! Kudos! :D Thanks for sharing!!!
I work outside my home full time, Monday through Friday, and Part-time on Saturday while a full time Masters student. Crazy. I know. Regardless, I love your energy. Keep being you! Aloha!!!
Bet you would have never thought you'd be over 80k subscribers right now!! Whoop whoop!
By the way - I now cook really good meals and house is spotless. I am now a domestic goddess LOL.
Congratulations on your decision. Best wishes as you work to design your dream life.
I’m proud of you for making this decision! Yay for you!!
What program do you teach for? What is your LMS? We just switched to Canvas, but I've also done Brightspace and Brainhoney.
@@FrugalFitMom We are actually revamping stuff this weekend, so I'll be able to check out our new program on Monday. My previous teaching job used Canvas as well. I currently teach for a company called iusenglish.
I tried to look up the iusenglish and I couldn't find it. Well, I did but the whole website is in Chinese - am I in the right place?
@@FrugalFitMom Yes, that is the student portal. Teachers have a separate one. I don't think you can access it without being an employee.
Work outside the home mom/grandma. My plan is to retire at 59.
Looking forward to that in about 9 years.
