Thanks Tony. Always seems strange to me that the fish don't get put off by the very obvious belly weight etc. say compared to a Z Man Trout Eye, which looks like a real fish, albeit with an oversized eye. Do you think the fish literally don't see it? TT Lures (Tackle Tactics = TT) are the Australian distributor of Z Man, so it makes sense that their hook set ups suit the Z Man. Question for you, is that your Salt Strong exclusive Minnowz colour? Looks awesome.
Thanks for the kind words Thor! Yes, the minnowz shown in this video is our exclusive Slam Shady color pattern that we have reserved for our Fishing Club members. It has proven to work extremely well so far in testing.
I do the same but with a zoom or a DOA instead of going over the wait through the whole hook I just punched the I hook through the bottom of the nose and out the bottom of the head now you don't have to worry about destroying the head of the bait
Yes. Wider range of motion and always the correct contact point to the line tie. Direct knots are restricting and can ride up and down line ties, impacting the action.

Thanks Tony - Once you gig the Z Mans up do you leave the hook or jig head in the lure when storing?

I don't think the belly weight puts off the fish by any means. If anything it adds to the profile of the bait, making it look like it has a fat belly.

But you didn't do the 3-inch minnow. I think the hook is too big for those
Glad you showed how to hook these up.
No problem!
Have you tried a gold spinner with that bait before
Nope not yet. I usually try out the gold spinners in the fall/winter so i'll probably give it a shot then.
Fantastic job as usual:)
Thanks!
Does useing a loop knot really help?
Yes. Wider range of motion and always the correct contact point to the line tie. Direct knots are restricting and can ride up and down line ties, impacting the action.
Great video
Thanks!
