@@wannabilahani4381 temu is extremely controversial and unreliable. someordinarygamers (mutahar) has some really good videos on temu. he’s well-versed in cybersecurity and online privacy protection, so i’d consider him a reliable source. i know anecdotal evidence is not preferred, but my mother purchased from temu a few months back. she’s never had any problems with her bank information because she’s fairly smart about how she uses it. less than two months after purchasing from temu, her card started being used for small transactions. turns out, a LOT of people who ordered off of temu are having that problem. temu’s terms of service and data collection are also extremely concerning. why does temu need or want access to your messages? why does it need your social security number? i think people are also unaware that back in march, temu’s “original” sister app in china, pinduoduo, had to be closed down for a malware issue. the app was forcing itself to continue to run in the background on people’s phones and prevented itself from being uninstalled to boost monthly active user rates. it also tracked the phone users’ shopping activity on other websites to spy on competitors. all in all, just not a company i enjoy seeing people support. i’m personally sick of seeing advertisements for them, and it seems i’m not alone.
@@wannabilahani4381 oh. to top it all off, i’ve heard from fraud specialists that they’re getting a lot of calls from temu users. they believe temu isn’t personally using the bank information themselves; they’re likely selling it off to nefarious people. not just bank info. any data they collect on you, really. which is most of your data, according to their terms of service.
@@wannabilahani4381 mutahar also uploaded a second video on temu a few days ago. i was entirely unaware of this, but apparently temu is being investigated for participating in the slave labor of uyghur people in china, who are an ethnic minority in china currently experiencing genocide and concentration camps. so… that’s just one more reason to be put off by temu, to say the least.
thank you guys sm for watching!
I love your videos! You’re actually my favorite vlogger please never stop posting 🫶
tysm ❤️😭

Thank you, I thought I would be the only one
