- Here, we have a clip from the movie Yes, Giorgio. Filmed in 1982. The only movie as far as I know that Pavarotti starred in. (All rights reserved to their respective owners.)
Starring: Luciano Pavarotti as Giorgio Fini Kathryn Harrold as Pamela Taylor
You will see a short funny scene at the hospital followed by a magnificent Cielo E Mar by Pavarotti from the opera La Gioconda. Pavarotti's voice and expression is illuminating at perhaps what can be called the prime of his career. The voice comes across strong and yet passionate as ever. Towards the end you will hear two flawless B flat's.
On a more personal note I'd like to dedicate this to the Maestro himself. One year after after his passing away, Luciano Pavarotti still stands a giant among tenors for me.
In appreciation for the glorious voice and the glorious man, I share this with you.
Oooh and just in case you were wondering, surely enough, Giorgio and Pamela did go out for supper!
Haha.. Enjoy!
I think this movie was terribly underrated!, It was funny, emotional and of course Pavarotti was stupendous !!
sublime, brought a tear to me eye-
El mejor; el más grande tenor de todas las épocas. Jamás una voz tan pareja, sin transiciones. Serás siempre el mejor...
Una voz totalmente homogénea, acompañada de su técnica perfecta!
Inolvidable Luciano Pavarotti
It's a very good film and also very funny
Its been said he could sing the cook book and give you goosebumps. I miss him every day.
His acting is so funny!
Massimiliano Collicelli Yes kkk, he is not a actor, he is a singer

I love Pavarotti, I really do, but these have to be three of the worst actors ever seen on screen at the same time. Pav can be excused because he sings like a god, but why are the other two there?
Thanks for posting this! I was in that crowd of people! A very hot day. A woman near me fainted from the heat. Also nearby was Pavarotti's stand-in John Rhys-Davies, who I had a brief chat with. I'm glad they dubbed in the singing because Pavarotti's voice was apparently so loud that his microphone was distorting, unless it was faulty or there was a bad connection in the sound system. Great to see this clip and get a peek at good old Boston! Thanks again!
