That guy should mount and balance on both stations, it looks like he has a lot of free time doing just mounting and it's bothering him a lot.

or mount on multiple machines. One guy can easily run 4 tire mounting machines since they're fully automated. And they should use the tire lift instead of all those backbreaking lifts carrying the wheels back and forth

Whoever set this up is a lot more interested in selling equipment than finding solutions. I figured out a way to save about 45 seconds per wheel the first time I saw this video, with only a minuscule extra investment.

    Hi.
Wrong hub in the balecing procces.

Thank you for your feedback Philip. I genuinely appreciate any suggestions that you can offer that will help to improve our quality and production. Which hub would you suggest?
We currently use the Hunter 192-214-1 double sided, Nickel Chrome coated cone which tapers from 2.42 to 2.63 on one side and from 2.58 to 2.79 on the other. Over the last 3 years our average statistics include RFT Balancing over 12,000 T/W assemblies per week (double that to calculate # of balancer cycles to include check spins = 24,000 balance spins/cycles per week divided over 4 balancers). Surprisingly, even with that high of volume (552,000 balances over 46 weeks/1 production year), the centering cones don't fail the Hunter "Go/No Go Gauge" (but we replace them annually as preventative). And now, after over 1,656,000 balance jobs (3 production years), the balancer spindles are still within tolerances as well.
If you are suggesting a "Lug-Centric" style adapter to pair up with the centering cone, I would normally agree, but due to the potential human error when inserting the lugs into the lug holes (and potentially damaging the face of the wheel), we have decided to use a medium sized pressure cup instead (to prevent damages) with the addition of a few protective layers of foam which is replaced about once per week for each balancer's pressure cup.
With such a high volume of T/W assemblies being matched, built and balanced, packed safely and shipped over to MB-USI, we are always interested and looking for any areas to improve. Even on the smallest of scales, but admittedly it is sometimes easy to become focused on the whole process and end up overlooking a detail within the process which after being quantified over that high volume can make a significant difference.
By the way, You wouldn't happen to be related to Clay Johansson would you?
Thank You for Posting and Please Let Me Know Your Thoughts,

At their own jobs or being lazy vegetables in front of the television.
How can a man with no education, no money, no English speaking, steal a job from a life long American? Really says a lot about US laziness.
