I am now 24, I was 13 when I first heard them and saw them. They became my 2nd favorite band (Slipknot will always be my fave). "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses" and "The Curse" reflect my whole high school years. I now have a physics degree and am working on my masters in astrophysics and still listen to this music. All I have to say is...kids, learn how to mature as an adult, but never grow up...your inner child will always keep you sane.
This is their best album. They will never be able to top this one. This was the true Atreyu. Easily one of my top 5 all time albums. I still listen to it to this day
Same here man, getting my Masters in Education: Curriculum & Instruction and I still listen to "the classics" from my youth. Atreyu, Bleeding Through, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Bury Your Dead
I always thought it was stupid to have a favourite band, but Atreyu have at least 50 songs that I find simply incredible. It's like, how can one band be this good.
Old Atreyu was amazing. So much so that the instrumental version of the curse*which I consider their best album* was featured across every TV show at the time. A hardcore/post-hardcore band doing that is just phenomenal in my opinion. The sick guitar rifts with vocals that could destroy the world... That is what I crave! BRING IT BACK!
fav song of all time. just awesome. one of those things where if i got the chance to play it on guitar with them live...you'd do it...no matter how close you are to pissing your pants lol
i saw them in 2006 and it was amazing. when they came on the stage i went bat shit crazy and ended up losing my friend and ride there. i proceeded to wait in line to get their autographs after the show. i got to tell them how much their music meant to me and how it keeps me going. they all signed 3 posters for me. i didn't have a ride or a phone on me so i bribed some kid with a poster to use his phone. i found another ride and made some kid's night with autographs from atreyu
Without this song, my band would not exist. If you like Atreyu because of their lighter side, you should give us a listen. I promise our singer won't disappoint ;)
I love Atreyu, been their fan since '04. =P BFMV is great too. But Atreyu will always kick ass. It was amazing when they both played at Taste Of Chaos '08. OMG ATREYU SIGNED ME!!!
@laykneelove Robert Smith is the vocalist for The Cure. Good chance you've heard their songs, but didn't know it was them. Friday I'm in love, or Boys don't cry are two of their top selling songs I believe. Basically that 2nd song is what he was refering to -- Robert smith lied, boys do cry. He is also what majorly influenced make up and the whole scene look.
i can't believe i was like OBSESSED with this band. and brandon saller, it's crazy how you're taste in music changes. oh well, still gotta respect them. still good!
@madman56373 On a technicallity: Atreyu is classified as Metal, not screemo. Slight differences such as the number of power cords, pitch of the singing/screaming, and lyrical content.
Wtf? as a kid I thought this band was insanely popular because it's what all the Local bands played at the so-called "mosh-pits" Holy shit only a million views? that's depressing I thought everyone could hear this gracefulness.
np dude some can some cant. but on the topic of atreyu hell yes. they are in my top 5. i met them at the family values tour 07. what a show!. if you want something unique try kamelot into eternity or opeth! kamelots vocalist is my aboslute favorite. brandom from atreyu is close too though
@bavmbav totally agree. Its called selling out, and a lot of bands do it. FYI, and offtopic, I have a horrible feeling BMTH are going to do it with their next album
America...Bra's! Born 1968. Watched MTV since a kid. Bring it!!!
Interview With The Vampire is like the best book ever. The only one I've ever been able to sit down and read without getting bored.

this song is an absolute tune. The drummers singing goes so well with the lead singers screaming it sounds amazing. Atreyu Rock!

definitely a classic tune.
My kids, if and when I have 'em, are gonna grow up listening to these guys
This is their best album. They will never be able to top this one. This was the true Atreyu. Easily one of my top 5 all time albums. I still listen to it to this day
The chorus makes this song amazing. Brings back memories, man.
Same here man, getting my Masters in Education: Curriculum & Instruction and I still listen to "the classics" from my youth. Atreyu, Bleeding Through, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, Bury Your Dead

Just know this band and really enjoy it !!
A7X, BFMV, and Atreyu, taste of chaos was fucking awesome... if all three of those bands ever headline a tour together again that would be great.
i saw them in 2006 and it was amazing. when they came on the stage i went bat shit crazy and ended up losing my friend and ride there. i proceeded to wait in line to get their autographs after the show. i got to tell them how much their music meant to me and how it keeps me going. they all signed 3 posters for me. i didn't have a ride or a phone on me so i bribed some kid with a poster to use his phone. i found another ride and made some kid's night with autographs from atreyu

Atreyu , avenged sevenfold , slipknot , bullet to my Valentine the whole lot are just awesome !!!!!!!
Without this song, my band would not exist.
If you like Atreyu because of their lighter side, you should give us a listen. I promise our singer won't disappoint ;)
i forsake the way of death. Bless The Way of Life in Yahshua's Name.

Tocadas cuando el mundo era seguro y no había reggaetoneros -_-.
I love Atreyu, been their fan since '04. =P
BFMV is great too. But Atreyu will always kick ass.
It was amazing when they both played at Taste Of Chaos '08. OMG ATREYU SIGNED ME!!!

i can't believe i was like OBSESSED with this band. and brandon saller, it's crazy how you're taste in music changes. oh well, still gotta respect them. still good!
Everytime i listen to this song it brings me back to my ChildHood
This and Storm to pass are by far my favourite songs by Atreyu
Greatest synchronized breakdown EVER
@Tyler Roxas Atreyu is the boy from the story. You were thinking of Falkor.
7 years....and this song is still Atreyu's best fucking song!
@madman56373 On a technicallity: Atreyu is classified as Metal, not screemo. Slight differences such as the number of power cords, pitch of the singing/screaming, and lyrical content.
dissenence sounds sick

Wtf? as a kid I thought this band was insanely popular because it's what all the Local bands played at the so-called "mosh-pits" Holy shit only a million views? that's depressing I thought everyone could hear this gracefulness.
This is song got me into this genre of rock (: THANKS ATREYU!
I love this song and the synchronized head banging XDD How does this remind you of Bullet For My Valentine?
just found out bout this band, first song ive heard by them, its rlly good
np dude some can some cant. but on the topic of atreyu hell yes. they are in my top 5. i met them at the family values tour 07. what a show!. if you want something unique try kamelot into eternity or opeth! kamelots vocalist is my aboslute favorite. brandom from atreyu is close too though
I agree with you on that. They have a sort of Southern metal music style now.
i don't care what the haters say.... i think Atreyu is one of, if not the best band ever, of all time.
i think the way Alex screams "I'm an Anne Rice novel come to life" is amazing :)
@Fishpks oh my god thank you so much! that makes so much sense now :) thank you!
Actually the drummer IS a singer. Brandon Saller does both drumming and singing. Alex (obviously) is the singer that screams.
bloody brilliant
Yeah dude, Brandon's voice is awesome!
Wish they weren't on a "break" now. Can't stand the thought of not having new Atreyu music to look forward to :/
The Inland Empire,CA produced a lot of good bands , these are one of them
such a beautiful song
i miss them to, they WERE amazing :(
@TheMiz1990 i thought the only word to describe Atreyu was awesome!
@bavmbav totally agree. Its called selling out, and a lot of bands do it. FYI, and offtopic, I have a horrible feeling BMTH are going to do it with their next album
Perfect song in all the sides
I don't understand why people waste their time insulting a band instead of just listening to the music. I like both Atreyu and A7X.
You should check out the drummer's band, Hell or Highwater. They're pretty good, I saw them live Saturday and Sunday.
and for real hardcore check out Tragedy, Ceremony, Terror, Champion, Agnostic Front, Sick of it All, From Ashes Rise.
TheShermanator 707...i am a compulsive BFMV listener and i dont see how they sound like them but its all great music :)
i love this band:]
The drums make this song so much more.
and with blood tears in my eyes I'm an Anne Rice novel come to life
@HappyPurpleNoob well done my good sir/maam
i feel the burn just like i did 6 years ago when i heard this song. only a couple of band can do that.
i miss these guys :(
although their new projects are pretty good!
i am war, fake figures and hell or highwater
bullet for my valentine are like a young atreyu haha! couple of years they be like them lol
