WE HAVE A HOPE As they gathered in secret all hope had been lost, The great King that would lead them had been nailed to a cross; But after three days of sorrow they heard Mary cry, She said, "I've just seen the Master, and I know he is alive." We have a hope and his name is Jesus, Death has no power for he holds the keys; He gave his word he would come back and gather his children, Oh what a reunion, Heaven's Hope will lead us home. The family has gathered as the doctors give no hope, As their dear sainted loved one draws closer to home; Oh, but there's joy in their sorrow for they know it won't be long, Until the day they'll be united as they gather around the throne. We have a hope and his name is Jesus, Death has no power for he holds the keys; He gave his word he would come back and gather his children, Oh what a reunion, Heaven's Hope will lead us home. He gave his word he would come back and gather his children, Oh what a reunion, Heaven's Hope will lead us home. What a reunion! Oh we'll see friends and loved ones! As Heaven's Hope will lead us home!
Love this song but I'm biased. During the '90s I played bass with The Regents Quartet from Jacksonville, FL. This song was written by two members, Jeff and Todd Weeks. I was blessed to be one of the first people to hear this song and I knew then that it was one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. I played this song many times over the next few years and it never failed to give me a blessing. The original version is the best. You can also find it on UA-cam.
Amen my favourite what a reunion it will be
How can anyone listen to the Crist Family's music and not want Jesus to come now!!
Oh, what a day that will be.
Wow! I wish this group was still together.
Amen my favorite. Please I want the lyrics of this song.
WE HAVE A HOPE
As they gathered in secret all hope had been lost,
The great King that would lead them had been nailed to a cross;
But after three days of sorrow they heard Mary cry,
She said, "I've just seen the Master, and I know he is alive."
We have a hope and his name is Jesus,
Death has no power for he holds the keys;
He gave his word he would come back and gather his children,
Oh what a reunion, Heaven's Hope will lead us home.
The family has gathered as the doctors give no hope,
As their dear sainted loved one draws closer to home;
Oh, but there's joy in their sorrow for they know it won't be long,
Until the day they'll be united as they gather around the throne.
We have a hope and his name is Jesus,
Death has no power for he holds the keys;
He gave his word he would come back and gather his children,
Oh what a reunion, Heaven's Hope will lead us home.
He gave his word he would come back and gather his children,
Oh what a reunion, Heaven's Hope will lead us home.
What a reunion!
Oh we'll see friends and loved ones!
As Heaven's Hope will lead us home!
Amen, HOPE in Jesus!
